"Gardens of the Giant" - the advanced agroholding of Novosibirsk

The imposition of an embargo on the import of food products opened up great prospects for producers of vegetable products, namely, for the holding "Gardens of the Giant" in the Novosibirsk region. This complex was built in 2012 and belongs to one of the young agricultural enterprises. Today it is the largest agrarian economy engaged in growing vegetables and greens.

Agroinvestments

The idea of building a green house "Gardens of Giant" (Koltsovo) arose in 2007. And already in 2009, a land plot of 200 hectares near the village of Koltsovo was acquired and registered. Previously, this territory belonged to the bankrupt "Zheleznodorozhny" state farm.

The main determining criteria for the choice of the site were: its proximity to Novosibirsk, environmentally friendly environment, fast connection to the power line and the gas pipeline. The first investment amounted to 750 million rubles. Of these, Sberbank was given 500 million rubles to the holding company, and the remaining 250 million rubles were its own investments.

After that, the preparation of the territory for the construction of facilities began and the detailed design of the project. First of all, vegetable storages for 8 thousand tons were built, a greenhouse plant for growing greenery and tomatoes. In addition, a gas boiler was built. All the constructed facilities are connected to the gas pipeline. The management of the holding plans to recoup all investments in the next 8 years.

From landing to temperature

The first car with fresh pre-packaged fruits, vegetables and herbs leaves at 6 o'clock in the morning from the territory of the agricultural holding "Gardens of Giant". Agrocomplex operates around the clock to ensure the uninterrupted supply of its products to more than 20 large supermarkets. And the employees of the holding successfully cope with this.

"Gardens of the Giant" is a whole modern enterprise, whose work is based on a full cycle of processing vegetables. So, vegetables and greens are planted, grown, packed, and then delivered to store shelves.

In the open ground, radish, carrots, beets and potatoes are successfully grown. In the greenhouses are engaged in the planting of various greens, tomatoes and cucumbers. All greenhouse products in the agro-complex are grown using additional artificial lighting, because plants lack natural light.

For a year, up to 8 thousand tons of vegetables are grown in the open ground, and in greenhouses this figure is close to 2 thousand tons. Complex "Gardens of the Giant" uses modern technologies of growing vegetables and all products comply with accepted standards. During cultivation, all technological processes are observed and allowed plant protection products are used.

In the agro-complex "Gardens of Giant" all products can be stored for up to 8 months. A given temperature regime is maintained for each specific culture. For example, cabbage and carrots are stored at 0 degrees, potatoes at +3 degrees Celsius. The workers of the vegetable store strictly monitor the temperature conditions of each cell.

Packing and sales of products

From the vegetable store vegetables and greens go to the packing department. Green products are washed and packaged in bags, mesh or polyethylene film. Fruits are also packed here, which are brought separately to the territory of the Giganta Gardens holding.

Every day the products of the complex are delivered to large supermarkets of the city, to owners of small wholesale companies, to individual enterprises. Every day the agricultural holding "Gardens of Giant" provides up to 60 tons of fresh vegetables and greens for shops in Novosibirsk and the region.
