Recently, the fountain pump is used not only for decorating elegant bowls with water, but also for artificial ponds, which are increasingly found on household plots and suburban areas. All pumps of this kind are divided into centrifugal, vortex, electromagnetic. Centrifugal units have a pressure and suction nozzle. Before work, they are filled with water, which remains in them even after shutdown. Vortex pumps have pressure and suction nozzles located above their axis. The filling of such an aggregate with water is carried out automatically. The work of electromagnetic fountain pumps is based on fluctuations of electromagnetic pulses acting on a special flap valve.
The performance of these units depends on the power of the electric motor, the size of the pipes, the presence of bends in them. Fountain pumps for cottages and homesteads are chosen taking into account the height of the water reservoir. It is also necessary to take into account the model of the nozzle, the height of the jet, the width of the waterfall threshold, and the size of the surface of the pond.
