Drawing in the middle group: what techniques can be applied?

Kids at the age of about three to four years are characterized by increased activity and restlessness, and concentrate on something their attention is not so simple. One of the most useful lessons for the development of children can be called drawing. In the middle group of the kindergarten it 's time to develop talents. There are many different techniques that even the smallest artists can easily master, creating their first masterpieces. Also worth noting is the fact that the average group of children's ability to draw are approximately at the same level.

Materials

Drawing in the middle group means getting to know a wide variety of materials. Of course, dense white and colored paper, simple and colored pencils, wax crayons, paints, soft brushes and so on must become an obligatory attribute.

Most often in children's works watercolor is used, but this is not entirely correct. The fact is that this technique among artists is considered the most complex and requires a high level of skill. As for such an issue as drawing in the middle group, then with the help of this material it is quite difficult to teach the child the basics of fine art. So when choosing colors, it is better to give preference to gouache.

Features of the learning process

At the age when the child visits the middle group, a kind of turning point in the direction of understanding their actions. So, if earlier the kid was content to draw incoherent scribbles, now he wants to get a more real result of his work. The technique of drawing in the middle group should be simultaneously simple for perception and possess good illustrative properties, allowing as much as possible to convey the creative idea on paper.

Building a lesson

Drawing in the middle group must have a certain sequence of steps to achieve the best results. The lesson should be logically arranged and go from simple to complex. So, at the beginning of the lesson, you need to familiarize the children with the technique and practice it a little, and only after that go to the drawing of specific images. Tasks must be constantly complicated, using all new and new methods of fine art, as well as their combinations. In addition, it is important to constantly make explanations, as well as introduce an element of collective creativity in the classroom.

What to draw with children

One of the most crucial moments on which the success of the lesson depends is the choice of the topic. Drawing in the middle group gives ample opportunities to determine this or that direction of the lesson, because children of this age have a wide range of interests.

  1. When choosing a topic, it is necessary to take into account the seasonal factor (ie, draw plots dedicated to the seasons with them).
  2. For each holiday, you need to deal with children by making greeting cards using different techniques.
  3. Through drawing children should know the environment (plants, animals, natural phenomena).
  4. In the lessons of fine arts should be introduced and social topics related to the family, society, professions.

Which techniques to apply

Teaching children the fine arts, it is important to competently build an occupation. Drawing in the middle group should involve the use of a wide variety of techniques. Of course, you need to master traditional pencils and brushes to give the kids basic knowledge and instill the necessary skills. But also for the comprehensive development of children and providing them with interesting leisure activities, it is also useful to apply to the original methods of fine arts. So, it is recommended to use the following non-traditional drawing techniques:

  • Drawing with fingers (creating visual images with fingertips, gouache-colored);
  • Imprint (transfer of texture or image from a colored stamp);
  • Drawing with the use of a wax candle (scratching);
  • Dry brush (textured image without using water);
  • Pointillism (drawing with the help of colorful splashes);
  • Monotype (creation of a symmetrical image by printing);
  • Kleksografiya (creating visual images by modifying the color spots);
  • Geometric drawing (transformation and combination of geometric figures)

These techniques can be used alone or in combination. They allow the child to develop associative thinking, and also train the motor skills of children's hands.

Drawing with children autumn

The theme, which is best to start drawing, is autumn. In the middle group, children are already quite familiar with the peculiarities of the seasons. Autumn is one of the brightest seasons, therefore the field for creativity is quite large. You can use a wide variety of techniques, as well as their combinations.

To begin with, it is recommended to apply stamp drawing. Autumn in the middle group can be depicted on a large general poster. To begin with, the instructor places the silhouette of the tree trunk on the paper. Further, each of the babies greases the leaves brought with them and alternately applies them to a common pattern. The resulting collective drawing will be an excellent decoration for the group's premises.

To simulate the autumn trees, the technique of kleksografia will go well. So, each of the children places several arbitrary spots of yellow, orange and red. When the surface dries, the trunk and branches must be attached to each blob. Thus, it will be an imitation of the autumn forest.

How to draw a winter in the technique of "pointillism"

With the onset of cold weather and the fall of the first snow, a new inspiration for creativity. So, in order to depict the winter, the technique of pointillism fits as well as possible. To implement it, you need two brushes, gouache paints and water. The drawing algorithm is as follows:

  • On a sheet of paper, children should depict the winter landscape (houses, fir-trees, etc.), it is desirable to use bright and dark shades;
  • Wait until the paint on the sheet is completely dry;
  • In the left hand take the first brush and squeeze it tightly;
  • The second is abundantly moistened in water and dipped in white paint;
  • Above the previously prepared drawing, you need to tap with the right brush on the left, so that the paint spray falls on a sheet of paper, imitating snowfall.

Drawing Trees

In order to learn how to depict a full-fledged landscape in the future, you need to learn how to draw a tree. In the middle group, it is quite difficult for a child to cope with the task of creating a symmetrical figure, so it's best to resort to monotyping techniques. Image formation involves a certain sequence of steps:

  • A sheet of white or colored paper must be folded in half and unfolded;
  • On the inside of the sheet to the left of the fold, draw half the tree, so that the paint layer is dense at the same time;
  • While the surface is still damp, fold the paper again in half and gently press it;
  • When the children unfold their sheets, they will see that the result is a real tree that remains adorned with fruits and birds

Drawing a tree in the middle group is one of the basic activities that must necessarily be included in the program.

Image of feathered

Drawing a bird in the middle group should carry in itself not only a creative load, but also give some theoretical knowledge about those or other representatives of the feathered class. In this case, it is better to use the traditional drawing technique. A lesson that involves drawing a bird in the middle group should begin with the fact that the children will be given special standard blanks.

Then the teacher goes on to the story about the species of birds, showing illustrative material where the color will be clearly visible. At the end of the theoretical part, the kids are invited to color the workpieces, imitating the coloration of a particular bird, which the teacher spoke about. You can, as in the previous case, make a common tree on which the children will place their masterpieces.

Animals

As in the case of birds, the drawing of animals in the middle group is called upon to give children theoretical knowledge of certain fauna representatives. In addition, this subject of creativity allows you to use a fairly wide range of techniques (both independently and in combination with each other).

You can start learning how to draw four-legged friends using finger technique, which works great for the development of associative thinking. To begin with, children should be asked to make a few multi-colored prints on a piece of paper. Later, with the help of a caregiver, the kids should modify them in such a way that they clearly see the animals. Next, you need to complicate the task by drawing figures that would combine several prints.

For drawing animals, a technique that implies the use of a dry brush is well suited. With its help, children can imitate wool. So, they need to distribute the blanks with the image of animals with the task of portraying fluffy fur.

How to use a wax candle in the visual arts

One of the important topics is the drawing of vegetables in the middle group. As children improve their skills, you need to gradually complicate the occupation. Drawing in the middle group with a candle is sure to interest children. The essence of the technique is as follows:

  • First of all, a sheet of paper should be completely painted over. You can use one or more colors that smoothly pass into each other. It is better to use gouache paints.
  • Waiting until the paper dries, you should go directly to the use of candles. It is necessary to treat it well with the surface of the sheet in such a way that all of it is covered with a dense layer of wax.
  • The next stage will be covering the sheet with black (or any other) gouache. We need to ensure that the paint is fresh, because only in this way will a dense and opaque layer.
  • When the black gouache dries, it is necessary to accurately apply the contours of the picture on it over a simple pencil. The pressure should be very light so as not to damage the top coating.
  • At the last stage, a drawing is created. With the help of a handle with an empty rod, it is necessary to outline the outlined contours. At the same time, black paint will match, showing the planned drawing.

Drawing vegetables in the middle group with this technique will allow you to diversify the lessons and make them more interesting.
