Dmitry was born in 1987 on March 19 in the Leningrad region (the city of Sosnovy Bor). It should be noted that his native city is famous for its strong biathlon school. To be engaged in this kind of sports the boy began with 8 years. His first coach was Yury Parfenov.

At first Dmitry liked to just shoot, but eventually he began to get used to cross-country skiing and eventually realized that this was his sport.

The young athlete at first did not particularly shine with the results, speaking in the period of junior. In 2005, Malyshko participated in the youth world championship in Kontiolahti. In these competitions, he twice hit the 10 strongest biathletes in the individual sprint race.

Coach Dmitry Kucherov noticed the future champion at the 2008 Youth Winter Games in Saransk, where Dmitry Malyshko won a bronze medal. Until the transition athlete in the adult team was engaged with him Kucherov.

At the time, in 2008, due to funding problems in the Biathlon Federation, Malyshko decided to withdraw from the sport, stopping training. Then he began to work in a bank. However, the coaches Kucherov and Vasiliev settled financial issues, and Dmitry again returned to the sport.

For the first time on the stages of the IBU Cup, he was in 2009-2010. In the Russian national team. In February, he again began training.

The best in terms of success in the sports career of the athlete was the 2012-2013 season: in personal races, the first two places (in Oberhof) and the second two (in Ruhpolding, Hochfilzen); Prize places in the relay races (including the first - in Oberhof and in Sochi).

The 2013-2014 season. Was worse. Dmitry Malyshko did not climb the pedestal, but 11th place in the overall standings.

2014-2015 years were less successful. In the overall standings of this season Malyshko took the 31st place. However, there are joyful moments. Personal life

Goals, hobbies

His main goal at the moment is to get a second higher legal education. He understands that sooner or later a sports career will end and begin to have a different life already as a family man, and a second education will help him fulfill future goals. His first higher education was received at the State University of Service and Economics in the city of St. Petersburg.

The most important hobby for Dmitry is cars. He really likes beautiful and fast cars. His favorite pastime is racing on a motorcycle. Interested in motorsports (rally and "Formula-1").

By nature Dmitri Malyshko is a sociable person who does not tolerate loneliness. His element is communication with friends in the company. The people closest to him, except for the family, are childhood friends. And in the national team he has excellent relations with everyone, especially with A. Shipulin and T. Lapshin. And the athlete is a music lover.
