Did you want to grow pepper Bulgarian? Planting and caring for it have features

What should be prepared for those horticulturists who decided to grow Bulgarian pepper? Planting and caring for this plant in our country in the open ground is, perhaps, more complex than in a greenhouse, since it comes from warm countries and, accordingly, loves a lot of light and high temperatures. The culture is planted in the form of seedlings in late May, when the probability of frost is almost absent.

How to prepare the beds where the Bulgarian pepper will grow? Planting and care of the plant should be preceded by the selection of a fertile, weed-free area with a sufficiently moist soil and good drainage. On a square meter of the ridge it makes sense to make one teaspoon of urea, a tablespoon of superphosphate and potassium sulfate, as well as a glass of wood ash. The earth is dug to the full depth of the shovel (bayonet), after which it must be poured with hot Mullein solution (temperature about 80-90 degrees, half a liter of fertilizer per 10 liters of water), 3 liters per square meter. meter.

In what order is the Bulgarian pepper placed ? Planting and caring for it are carried out in two main ways. The first is to line out the seedlings at a distance of about 0.4 meters and with an interval between rows of about 0.5 meters. In the second case, young plants are located on 2-3 pieces on the territory of 0.5 x 0.5 or 0.7 x 0.7 meters, respectively. Each plant must be tied individually as it develops. Especially it concerns the varieties grown in a greenhouse, since, unlike low ground ones, they can reach a height of 0.85 meters.

How to water Bulgarian pepper? Planting and caring for such a moisture-loving culture suggests that before the flowering plant needs about 12 liters of warm water per square. Meter landings once a week (from the watering can). During flowering and during the formation of fruits, watering is carried out only under the root, approximately in the same volume once or twice a week.

How to feed pepper Bulgarian? Folk methods recommend taking 10 tablespoons of ashes, a bucket of Mullein and 5-6 kg of nettle, dandelion, lobster, mother-and-stepmother (finely chopped) for 100 liters of water and to stand in a barrel for a week. After that, the solution is mixed and added one liter each to the plant in the flowering phase. During the formation of fruits on 100 liters of water, a bucket of wet bird droppings and two glasses of nitrofoss are insisted. After 5 days, the solution is mixed and added per liter to each pepper plant. Note that fertilizing during fruiting can be repeated, and all solutions in a warm form (25-30 degrees) must be brought under the root on wet soil.

Pests of Bulgarian pepper are represented by fungal diseases, spider mites, slugs, and aphids that do not mind eating juicy leaves and fruits. Measures to combat each "enemy" are their own. For example, a spider mite at any stage of plant development is rendered harmless with garlic, onion, dandelion leaves, passed through a meat grinder and mixed with a tablespoon of soap for ten liters of water. The plants are sprayed with the solution obtained after percolation. Such measures allow preserving the attractive appearance of the products.
