Everything that grows on your site and deserves to grow there needs regular watering. But often we are ruled by circumstances that we can not overcome. Someone broke the car, someone cried, someone urgently needed to be elsewhere. A rain forecast is not expected for at least a week. In such cases, gardeners and truck farmers benefit from automatic irrigation systems.

Any irrigation system is an engineering structure. It is understood that they should only be dealt with by professionals. However, it only seems incredibly complex. And what to wish, if the budget allocated for the garden and vegetable garden is not enough to hire professionals? If you apply competent design and correct installation, it is quite possible to organize auto-irrigation with your own hands.
It is necessary to determine the amount of water needed at a particular site. It should be noted that in the vegetable garden, orchard and green lawn needs for water are different. The larger the area of the irrigated area, the larger the pipe diameter should be to ensure the required throughput.

Now you need to carefully plan everything. To do this, make a schematic outline of your site and mark the watering zones on it. Now think about how to work with the compass - it will help you outline the sectors that will cover the sprinklers.
The created autoplay with its own hands will provide all the plants with water using two types of sprinklers: static ones (best work on less than 10 m sections) and rotary ones with variable irrigation radius. Arrange sprinklers on the plan of the site in this way: first - those that will fit in the corners of the irrigation zone, then - on their borders, the last - the central (if they need it). The distance between the heads of the sprinklers should be equal to their radius of action (pay attention to this and do not confuse it with the diameter!): Thus, uniform irrigation will be ensured.
The next step is to determine the number of irrigation zones. This means that the sprinklers of each zone will be simultaneously controlled by only one valve. In the specialized literature there are a lot of reference data that will help you determine how optimally the autoplay will work with your own hands, the water flow and the number of sprinklers, the diameter of the supply pipes and the pressure loss. The best result is achieved by playing with the diameter of the pipes and the number of sprinklers, but you should not discount the possibility of adjusting the flow of solenoid valves.

If the desired result does not appear in any way, you may have combined both types of instruments with different intensity of irrigation into one zone. Rotary sprinklers water 2-3 times longer than static ones.

Equipment for irrigation is not limited to the above mentioned units. An important role in the system is assigned to the controller - a programmable mini-computer that takes into account in the optimum watering formula a number of different factors, up to the data of the own weather station. Of course, such a controller is not very cheap, but water consumption can be reduced from 1/5 volume to 1/2!

It can be concluded that autoplay with its own hands has not only a sense, but also the benefits that will bring you a full harvest, a well-groomed country plot and a reduction in water costs for irrigation.
