Decorative shrubs for a suburban area

Since early spring and before the winter, decorative bushes decorate our suburban areas, fill them with joy and beauty. Nowadays the market supplies a lot of names of decorative plants, but it is best to buy them not with an open root system, as individual sellers sell in the markets, but in containers with an earthen substratum. Protected roots do not dry out, so there is no need to immediately transplant plants into the ground.

When choosing decorative shrubs for a summer cottage, you must first choose the right place for planting and plan out some specific landscape composition from the plants . It should be taken into account that bright foliage and abundant flowering is a sign of plants preferring to grow in the sun. In the shaded areas, they will bloom very poorly and develop poorly.

Erroneous are those of the owners of suburban areas who buy single bushes and plant them one by one in different parts of the garden. Decorative shrubs are plants that look lost alone and make a feeling of incompleteness in the composition. Only the group arrangement of at least three plants gives a pleasant visual effect. And if the composition of the bushes is sealed with low bright colors and unpretentious sculpture made of large stones, then the view will be much more beautiful.

Very beautifully combines decorative shrubs for the garden with lanterns, lawns, fountains or water. If necessary, it is possible to form a wall from some types of bushes, covering an unsightly view on a neighboring site. You can bring the bushes closer to the house to create an exquisite, lively picture, which will be pleasant to admire from the window of the house or sitting in a gazebo.

When planting plants, it is necessary to remove the top layer of soil and shift it to a piece of a film spread alongside. Then dig a hole that is much larger than the container in which the plant is located. The pit should be no less than twice as large as the size of the root system, if the transplanted ornamental shrubs have open roots. At the bottom you need to pour a layer of humus, peat and fertile soil, transferred to a film. Now you can take out the seedling from the container and, setting the roots in the hole, begin to fill them with earth and evenly compact the layer after layer. You can water the seedlings by pouring water directly into the excavated pit and after transplanting the bush into it. In order for the liquid not to flow out of the hole, it is necessary to make a curb roller around it from the ground. Immediately after watering it is necessary not to forget to wallow the soil around the plant. This will not allow moisture to quickly evaporate and slow the growth of weeds.

Bright decorative shrubs, used for spring flowering in the garden, are bushes of forcing. They blossom in early spring and bloom in a dazzling yellow sunlight. They are replaced by white-spiral spiraea, then the torch intercepts the almonds, it will support it until the beginning of summer. The garden is pleased with its changes. At the end of spring it is covered with white tassels of flowers, in the summer - with delicious berries, and in the fall it will turn purple. Shrubs, blooming in the summer, are veygel, barberry and hydrangea.
