Further, burnt sugar entered the structure , which added a dark caramel color to the liqueur. The required fortress was achieved by adding alcohol. Flavor was made with vanilla pods, cinnamon sticks and essential oils of citrus. As you can see, no five-year aging in barrels of limousine oak from under sherry or double distillation in special vats is not required.

The recipe for homemade liquor. Essence

Note that the modern manufacturer, the company "Liviko", makes "Old Tallinn" with the addition of natural rum, which, as you can be sure, after reading the label, add at least the third part. To create a "Van Tallin" at home, you need to gently cut the orange peel from four mandarins and one large orange. Three zest, put a teaspoon (without top) of ground cinnamon and a pinch of vanillin. We pour it all juice from half a lemon. In a saucepan pour two hundred grams of sugar and moisten it with a small amount of water. We put on the fire. When the syrup is tempered (it will turn dark brown and will leave a long string behind the spoon), put the fragrant zest into it. Dilute a liter of diluted alcohol to fifty degrees. Shake it up and put it on a week in a warm place. Double filter.

Preparation of liqueur

We got the essence. One hundred milliliters of this concentrate should take six hundred milliliters of Jamaican (better dark) rum, 300 ml of a fifty-degree solution of alcohol and syrup, cooked from half a glass of water and three hundred and fifty grams of sugar. All this should be mixed in a bottle. We taste. Perhaps you need to add alcohol for the fortress, sugar or burnt caramel for better color? If all the parameters suit us, we seal it and let it brew for a week (or even better two). After that, we decant the liquor "Van Tallin" through a tube to remove from the sediment.
