Daria Virolainen is a talented Russian biathlete

The Olympics in Sochi have not been very successful for the Russian women's biathlon team. A series of sports scandals, lack of results - it was clear to everyone that the time had come for fresh blood, the arrival of new young talents. One of these hopes was Daria Virolainen. Daughter of the Olympic champion

The girl was born in a well-known sports family in 1989 in the Moscow region of Khimki. Mom, Anfisa Reztsova, was the Olympic champion in biathlon, Dad is a coach for the same sport. In addition to Dasha, three more daughters are growing up in the family: Christina, Vasilisa and Maria. Kristina has already achieved some success in biathlon, having won the Spartakiad of schoolchildren. However, it became known to the general public thanks to an extravagant apparel on one of the races - a lacy pink combination on top of a sports uniform. As the girl later explained, so she fulfilled the conditions of the lost dispute.

Daria Virolainen has already started skiing since 4 years and started her sports life under the guidance of Valentina Romanova. Trainer Anfisa Reztsova was a famous specialist Leonid Myakishev.

Soon he becomes a coach now her 16-year-old daughter. Daria is rapidly progressing and achieving first success in biathlon.

Break for privacy

A sports career takes away all free time and energy. Shooting skiers usually acquire a family only after thirty years, when you no longer have to think about skis, rifles, cartridges. Daria Virolainen decided not to delay the responsible business and in 2007 she signed with the Belarusian skier Roman, who gave her her exotic name for Russia and her son Daniel. The athlete goes on maternity leave and for some time forgets about biathlon.

It is always difficult for athletes to return to an active career after the birth of a child. But youth takes its, and Daria Virolainen on the run begins to win. There are awards at the Summer World Championship, the Universiade gold in 2011 - all these are applications for future great accomplishments.

Then the athlete for a while slows down the course, and everyone slowly forgets the name, like Daria Virolainen. Biathlon high results couple of seasons do without a young mother. After failing for the women's Olympic team, Daria has an opportunity to prove herself. Coaching staff decides to update the team and puts the biathlete at the World Cup stage, taking place in Poklyuyke.

Started among the last in the sprint distance, she misses the whole segment without a single miss and ahead of the unbeaten Daria Domracheva, sensationally finishing second.

In the women's biathlon, a new star lights up. In the same year, Daria Virolainen takes bronze at the European Championships in a 10 km race. In the season of 2014/2015 she is included in the main team and stably takes part in all World Cup races. The 16th place in the cycle is a good achievement for the first full season in the highest league of biathlon.

Daria takes her second medal at the World Cup stages on January 24, 2015, giving herself silver for her birthday. The next season she spends less. As a result, coaches lose confidence in her and do not always expose a biathlete at the main start of the 2016/2017 World Cup.

Nevertheless, such talented sportswomen as Daria Virolainen are always in sight, and the girl will necessarily run fast and shoot accurately.
