Crusts in the nose - symptoms and treatment

Crusts in the nose can be an independent phenomenon, and can be a sign of disease of the lake. Other signs include a pronounced atrophy of the nasal mucosa and an unpleasant odor with the integrity of the core of the nose and mucous membrane.

The main role in the emergence of this disease is played by the nervous system - a violation of its trophic function. At an early age, due to various infections and repeated inflammatory processes, the nervous trophism changes - in other words, more pronounced trophic changes appear in the nose that lead to a disease such as crusts in the nose.

Symptoms of ozena in children

Children often complain about "pawning" the nose, but they do not feel the specific smell. Although the latter is so unpleasant that it is immediately possible to recognize the sick person. As a rule, this smell is most clearly felt in the morning, after the child has woken up, but after blowing out (when the crusts in the nose go away) either it is felt much less, or temporarily not felt at all. The feeling of "pawning" can be explained by the fact that because of the atrophy of the nasal mucosa, patients practically do not feel the passage of air through the nose. The smell is not felt due to the fact that the olfactory area is affected due to the atrophic process. People who suffer from ozona, almost never suffer from acute forms of the common cold. Of the remaining symptoms, in addition to an unpleasant odor, you can distinguish the shape of the nose (a wide saddle shape).

Recognize this disease can be based on four symptoms: crusts in the nose, atrophy, unpleasant odor and integrity of the nasal mucosa. Due to the last symptom, it is possible to distinguish a real lake from accompanying, for example, tuberculosis and syphilis. In most cases, with these diseases, integrity is impaired.

Crusts in the nose of a child can be cured in four ways:

General treatment: transfusion of canned blood together with aeroionization, autohemotherapy, vaccine therapy and proteinotherapy.

In addition, injections of the aloe extract are used (1 ml each day) - the total dose for the full course is 30 ml.

Treatment is local: softening the crusts followed by removal, the use of irritants in order to induce an improved secretory function of the mucosa. Nasal cavities are also sprayed using a 1% solution of nicotinic acid or an alkaline solution.

Surgical treatment: as a rule, surgical methods are based on strong irritation of the mucous membrane and its nerve receptors, as well as in the reduction of nasal cavities (because in the narrowed and reduced nasal cavities the amount of accumulated crusts is much less).

Treatment with folk remedies:

  • Dried sea kale must be ground in a coffee grinder to obtain a powder. Every day, breathe in the powder with your nose. Accordingly, the powder should be inhaled very carefully, in order to avoid getting small particles into the bronchi. Crusts in the nose, the treatment of which will occur in this way, will disappear in a short time.
  • It is necessary to boil a couple of medium unpurified potatoes. Wait until the tubers are warm and put them to the nose. Keep the tubers until completely cool. To fix the effect after the procedure, it is advisable to rinse the nasal passages with soda.
  • Every day, dig in the nose of wild rose oil or sea buckthorn. In this case, the used drugs are better alternated - so you can avoid softening the crust and unpleasant odor.
  • For the prevention of the disease, it is recommended to lubricate the mucous by some oily remedy for the night, best of all - sea buckthorn (to prevent possible loss of smell).
