Croatian eggs are better than poppers!

Among Russian fishermen, especially those who do not live in large cities, few have heard that there is a bait "Croatian egg" on the pike. But sophisticated predators of this predator know that the author and executor of the idea of this gear is a spinning from Zagreb. In Russia, it appeared in early 2007 and immediately became the focus of attention.

Unfortunately, on the shelves of shops to find "Croatian eggs" is not very easy, although they are listed in the category of actual bait. From others, this type of bait is distinguished by its open hook. Actually, this is the secret of the fact that it does not cling, representing something like a tattered horse: always upwards by hook. And in its range, it surpasses its analogs: it flies precisely and far. Still, the main advantage of this bait on the pike is its permeability, especially in conditions overgrown with grass or duckweed.

Look "Croatian eggs" as made of various materials and floating on the surface of bright oval elements with a large hook and built-in sinker, which gives the bait always a certain position in the water - crocheted upwards to completely eliminate hooks.

The difference between this bait and its analogue - popper - is that the latter works perfectly in conditions where the pond is free of vegetation, including from the tall grass rising almost to the top. Then, otherwise, only fishing for "Croats" will be effective.

And since the spinnings basically catch a pike in shallow waters and overgrown with duckweed or other green bays, one can guess why this bait does not linger on the shelves.

Catching on the "Croatian egg" assumes strong jerks, monotonous or accelerated wiring, pauses, etc. The advantage of this bait is that even with just two centimeters of "clean" water and plantations of water lilies, fishing will be very effective.

And the bite is a very interesting process: the pike, after catching the "Croatian egg," rushes at it, and everything happens on the surface, so the angler, watching this spectacle, knows what needs to be done in the next minute. The greatest effect with this bait is, as a rule, wiring at an average or slightly higher speed, and also by short light jerks.

And since the hooks, equipped with "Croatian eggs", have only the upper direction, the predator is quickly and very securely marked, practically without gatherings.

Since it is not so easy to buy this bait today, many prefer to make it yourself. The material for it, as a rule, becomes a cork from wine or champagne, sharpened on a grinding machine to obtain an oval shape. A hook is used for the hook, which is cut into the incision on the egg and fixed with waterproof glue.

Many anglers know that in the arsenal of an amateur catching toothy predators - pikes - there must necessarily be "Croatian eggs", at least one, since this bait is useful in overgrown ponds or in areas where it is impossible to catch poppers.
