Beading is a very fascinating activity, where you do not need to have special tools, which is the dignity of the work. Having at hand a wire or a strong thread, a comfortable needle, scissors and beads, you can create compositions of beads with your own hands of amazing beauty.

Types of beads

Beads can be glass, ceramic, metal and plastic. Nowadays, a huge number of beads of any size and color are produced.

Round beads made of glass can be used for any product. This kind of parts is usually delivered from Japan and the Czech Republic. The Japanese is a bit larger, the Czech is smaller and flatter. Everyone should decide for himself, what beads he likes more. Bead sizes are classified from 6/0 to 15/0. Beads are smaller if the number is larger. The most common is the size 11/0, where 11 is the number of beads that will fit on a length of 1 inch (2.54 cm).

Buy the beads you need in packages or bundles, by weight. Czech beads are divided into opaque (glass, not transparent light), translucent (from milky glass), transparent and with a silver line (the hole in the center is covered with a mirror color). There are silk beads (covered with grooves) and beads with a line (inner surface of another color).

Today appeared chopped beads with a hole offset to the flattened edge (perfect for flowers, twigs, peephole). When buying beads, you can check for the resistance of the coating: wet and put it on a white cloth - there should not be any divorces. In a pack it should be of the same size and without chips. It is necessary to pay attention to the size of products in packs, if they are represented by several shades. Pay attention to the holes: they should not be covered with plastic. In order to engage in weaving beads, you will need to purchase threads or wire for stringing. Threads are of different types, and with their own merits and demerits. They should be strong enough and not very thick. For example, nylon. It is more convenient to use green brass wire, thanks to which you can easily give the desired shape to the product: it is great for creating leaves or petals.

For beading, there are special thin needles that easily pass through the holes. A thick eyelet at the needle is ground with sandpaper. Making floral compositions of beads and figures, use skeletons and blanks of spherical, cylindrical shape (balls, pebbles, lids from bottles, coins and so on). Before you start working on the table, you need to spread out a plain-colored fabric so that your eyes do not get tired. Beads are poured in small piles, not mixing for convenience during work. Lighting can be either bright ceiling or diffused solar.

Bead Color

When creating a composition from beads, it is very important to choose the details not only in form and quality, but also in the compatibility of colors. Everyone gives their preferences to color solutions. The gamma is divided into two groups: color (chromatic - colors of the solar spectrum and shades, such as blue, yellow, green, red) and colorless (achromatic). Colors are less saturated, if you add an achromatic color to them . Chromatic colors are cold, for example, blue, violet, and warm, such as red, yellow. A harmonious combination of colors must be taken into account when working with beads. Black color is combined with all achromatic combinations. It must be borne in mind that in combination with yellow all colors darken. Green color on a red background is unpleasant to look and, on the contrary, red on green causes animation.

Types of weaving

There are several types of weaving:

• "Towards". A very simple way. One bead is typed in the middle of the thread, holding it with both hands. At any end of the thread, for example, the right one, string another bead. The left part of the thread is threaded into the same hole as the right one. Bead compositions made in this way are in no way inferior in beauty to compositions made by a more complex way of weaving.
• "Weaving with linen." A very interesting method of weaving, in which the best is brass wire. The first row is typed "weaving", one end of the wire bends ring, it will not be needed. The other end of the thread or wire must be passed to the second bead of the 1st row from the end. Then we pass the wire into bead 2, we collect two more beads, the same we do with the third and subsequent to the end of the row. If an even number of beads was collected in the first row, the third one starts with passing the wire into the same bead-bundle 2, in the opposite direction. Further it is beaten as the second. If in the first row the bead is an odd number, in the second row we do not weave the last bead, we deduce the wire from the bead 1 and dial 2, 3, 4 beads on it. The bead under number 2 should take an empty place in the second row, and 3, 4 - in the third. When we type three beads, the wire enters the second row, into bead 5. Then the third row is a plait, like the second.

Learning how to weave sunflower

We begin to weave the composition of beads. The master class will be presented below. For work you will need: glass beads of any color and shades, scissors, nippers, preferably curved pliers, silk or kapron threads. We will learn how to make flower compositions from beads, so you will additionally need a sticky floral tape, as well as glue, ruler, nylon cord (for the stem).

To create a flower, you can use the "loop" method. It is necessary to take a wire about 12 cm long, put 15 pieces of beads on it, twist the wire several times. The tip must be made sharp with 1-2 beads.

Receiving a "loop"

Of the 12 ready-made loops, you can make compositions from beads, which are called "sunflower". For the middle of the black beads strung on the wire you need to make a spiral. The tail is fixed by passing between the beads of the previous row. Petals are added in the form of a fan, we twist the ends, letting into the middle the end from the spiral. The leaves are screwed to the stalk and are reeled in.

The leaves can be made according to the French technique: we make a loop, string the beads on a piece of 15 cm, make a backward turn, make a loop on four fingers, for which the wire must be bent and twisted (2 cm), then we again string 15 cm in the opposite direction.

We twist the wire. In the second row, you need to collect more 3 beads and move to the first row. Follow the ranks, adding 2-3 beads. When weaving the leaves, tightly twisting the end that remained, and a large loop. Finished leaves are twisted into a twig and wrapped with tape or threads. So you can make sunflowers or lilies. Compositions of flowers from beads are fixed in a pot with fine pebbles or a solution of gypsum, cement.

Learning to weave pansies

In order to weave a floral composition of "pansy", you will need beads of green, purple and yellow, beads, like drops, wire for the stalk 1-2 mm. And a thin wire for leaves and petals, nippers, glue.

Plait two yellow and three violet petals, if the pansies are colorful, then we must begin to weave with dark beads, and then add light ones. From a green bead to weave leaves of any shape. The middle bead is attached to the wire for the stem.

Learning to weave roses

The composition of roses from beads is woven like a composition of pansies. Each petal is made separately, when the necessary number of petals is ready - they are combined into one flower.

Whole floral compositions of beads should consist of at least five colors. You can glue the stem with corrugated paper, or wrap it in green threads.
