Cod baked in the oven

Cod is a healthy and delicious fish. It is rich in magnesium, potassium, iron and phosphorus. Dishes from cod are useful and low-calorie. White, moderately dense and very juicy cod meat with the aroma of sea waves, allows you to create real culinary masterpieces. And the low caloric content of this valuable fish makes it suitable even for use in dietary dishes.

Thanks to its useful properties and excellent taste qualities, cod is used by many peoples of the world in their traditional cooking. It can be fried, boiled, stewed, baked, salted, and do it in many different ways.

One of the most common and delicious recipes for cooking this very delicious fish is cod, baked in the oven.

Whole cod, baked in the oven with greens and tomatoes

Cod is baked in foil without adding oil, so it retains all the useful properties, while it turns out very tasty, juicy and fragrant.

Ingredients:

Cod - 1 fish (about 2.5 kg);

Medium tomatoes of different colors (red and orange) - 2-3 pcs.

Small carrots - 1 pc.

Lemon for juice and decorating dishes - 1 piece;

Small bulbs - 1 pc.

Salt, black fragrant pepper, any spices.

Fresh herbs (for example, coriander, parsley, basil, dill) - 1 bunch;

Cooking method:

1. To make a cod: carefully clean the fish from the scales, head, tail, fins gently cut off, release the abdominal cavity of the fish from the viscera.

2. Grate the inside and outside thoroughly with salt, pepper and spices, pour half the lemon juice on the juice.

3. Using a sharp knife, make "pockets" in the fish for the filling at a distance of about 5-7 cm from each other.

4. Cover the baking sheet with a large sheet of foil and lay on it a prepared fish.

5. Stuff crackle with carrots, grated on a grater, cut onions rings and twigs of greenery.

6. In the "pockets" made on the carcass, put the remaining, previously finely chopped greens, and put in a circle of tomato.

7. Leave the cod to marinate for 20 minutes.

8. Then carefully and tightly wrap our fish in foil, send it to the oven, heated to about 200 degrees, approximately 50 minutes.

9. Within 10 minutes. Until the end of the cooking time, open the foil so that the cod becomes covered with an appetizing crust.

Delicious and aromatic cod, baked in the oven is ready! It remains to decorate it with lemon slices and serve with rice, fresh vegetables and herbs.

Cod fillet, baked in the oven under a potato coat

The dish is not easy to prepare, but it turns out to be tender, juicy, and also very satisfying, since it already contains a garnish of potatoes.

Ingredients:

Cod (fillets) - 750 g.

Potatoes (medium) - 4 pcs.

Bulb (small) - 2 pcs.

Large lemon for marinade - 1 pc.

Any vegetable oil (olive, sunflower) - 2-3 tablespoons.

Salt, pepper, suitable for fish seasoning - to taste (much to use it is not necessary to not score the main taste of fish).

Sour cream or mayonnaise - 50 g.

Greens are a few small twigs.

Cooking method:

1. Finished cod fillets should be thoroughly washed and dried with paper towels, then carefully rubbed with salt, pepper and fish seasoning.

2. Cut the lemon cubes, and the onions with semirings, add the vegetable oil. Then the resulting mass of coated fillets and leave in a cool place for about 2 hours, so that the cod is well-minted.

3. Meanwhile, prepare a potato "fur coat". To do this, potatoes are washed, cleaned, boiled to half-cooked, grated, seasoned with a little salt and lightly peppered.

4. Put the pickled fish along with the marinade in a mold, put the potatoes on top of the cod, which then can be greased with mayonnaise or sour cream.

5. Put the mold in the oven, which should be preheated to 200 degrees, and bake for about 45 minutes.

Cod in the oven under a potato coat before serving is sprinkled with pepper and decorated with fresh fragrant greens.

Cod baked in the oven with mushrooms and white wine

A successful combination of flavors of fish, mushrooms and vegetables combined with aromatic notes of white wine make this dish perfectly suitable for a festive table.

Ingredients:

Cod - 1,5 kg.

Large tomato (it is better to take a solid) - 1 pc.

Onions - 2 pcs.

Mushrooms (champignons or vests) - 100 g.

Small carrots - 2 pcs.

White wine (preferably dry) - 250 g.

Cheese hard grades - 30 gr.

Sour cream or mayonnaise - about 50 g.

Any greens - a few small twigs;

Salt, pepper and any other seasonings.

Cooking method:

1. Cut the tress fully, rinse, cut into equal pieces.

2. Cut the onions into cubes, chop the carrots on a fairly large grater.

3. Fry the frying pan lightly with vegetable oil, and then fry on it with cod, onions and carrots.

4. On a baking sheet lay layers of fish with vegetables, large chopped mushrooms and small circles of tomatoes. It is necessary to salt each individual layer of fish and vegetables and pepper a little. In the middle for the flavor you can put a laurel leaf. Pour everything with white wine and grease with sour cream or mayonnaise.

5. Put the dish in the oven for 45 minutes, the temperature should be about 200-230 degrees.

6. Tentatively for 10 min. Until the end of cooking sprinkle the dish with grated cheese.

Serve slices of cod, baked with vegetables, portioned, pre-abundantly sprinkled with finely chopped greens. Cod dishes in the oven - this is an excellent option for a light dinner or a festive dish.
