Classification of crimes

Classification of crimes involves their division into groups, based on the stated criteria. This measure allows you to make information about violations of the system and understandable. There are the following groups of unlawful actions:

1. Classification of crimes by category. This group includes:

  • Crimes of a small degree of severity. In particular, these are unlawful acts committed by negligence or intentionally, the punishment for which is established within two years of being in correctional institutions.
  • Crimes of moderate severity. In particular, these are reckless or willful unlawful actions, the maximum penalty for which is being in correctional institutions within five years.
  • Serious crimes. These are illegal actions, the maximum penalty for which is established within ten years of being in correctional colonies.
  • Particularly serious crimes. In particular, these are deliberate acts, the punishment for which is ten years or more.

2. Classification of crimes by the mechanism of commission. This group includes:

  • One-time or simple crime. That is, there is a coincidence of the beginning and end of the unlawful action. For example, it can be a verbal insult.
  • A complex crime. That is, the beginning and completion of unlawful acts do not coincide in time. There are continuing crimes. For example, this is the removal of property in parts from the premises. There are also continuing crimes. For example, desertion.

3. Classification of crimes in the form of guilt. In particular, it is:

  • Illegal actions committed intentionally.
  • Actions directed against the law, carried out by negligence.
  • Actions committed with both forms of guilt. For example, a person deliberately carries out unlawful acts, during which he inadvertently commits a crime.
  • Causing harm, recognized as innocent. For example, a person did not realize that he was committing illegal actions.

4. Classification by such a feature, as a generic object of encroachment. A generic object can be the safety of humanity (with genocide), life (when committing a murder), property (in robbery).

There is also a classification of computer crimes. The wrongful acts in this area are:

  • Hacking sites. In this case, the content of the site can both change and not change.
  • Carding. That is, the kidnapping of special requisites, which are necessary for performing operations with bank cards, for the purpose of subsequent illegal use.
  • Cracking. That is, the removal of special protection, which is available on the software, for the purpose of its subsequent free use.
  • Kidnapping other people's credentials to use the Internet.
  • Nyking. That is, certain actions that cause a "denial of service" by a computer connected to the Internet.
  • Spamming. Mass distribution of messages that have advertising or other character.
  • Reading other people's messages in an e-mail box.

Types of qualifications for crimes committed on the Internet, at the moment have not yet been fully formed. This is connected with the fact that computers appeared relatively recently. There are more and more new ways of exchanging information and data. At the same time, hackers also develop their skills. To date, the system of punishment for computer crimes is poorly debugged. At the same time, the classification of the unlawful acts under consideration is also imperfect and requires additions. However, experts are working on this problem. It is assumed that the Internet will become a site that obeys the established laws.
