Chizhevsky's homemade chandelier. We make our own home air ionizer

Today, only lazy people are not talking about health and a healthy lifestyle. People do a lot to improve their environment, they try to choose only food that can not harm their body.

It is only natural that everyone began to recall the ways of recovery, which were massively spread in the days of our parents. For example, today Chizhevsky's chandelier became relevant again. It is not so easy to make it with your hands, but all the efforts spent are worth it!

What kind of chandelier is this?

Here it is necessary to make a small digression, telling about what kind of chandelier this is. What is its use? Well, let's open this issue in more detail.

Professor AL Chizhevsky, whose works are now practically forgotten, once spoke of human stupidity in that part in which it concerned the completely disorderly attitude of people to the air. To the air that each of us breathes at any second of our existence.

He particularly emphasized the role of negatively charged ions in the formation of health in the organs of the human respiratory system. The scientist cited as an example the fact that in air of average size of a forest meadow or a glade contains up to 15 000 negatively charged ions in cubic centimeters! For comparison, in a similar volume of air the average urban apartment contains no more than 15-50 ions!

What is it for, the practical effect

The difference is visible to the naked eye. Unfortunately, a person tends to underestimate the dry facts, and therefore give more specific information. The fact that the low content of ions in the air contributes to the development of diseases of the respiratory system, leads to rapid fatigue and poor performance.

Have you ever noticed that when you work outdoors, you are much less tired? In particular, when working in an apartment, sometimes it is enough to perform a couple of small housework to feel completely broken. This is the negative effect of the small content of negative ions in the air.

Fight with this and helps chandelier Chizhevsky. We will try to make it with our own hands. This article is devoted to this.

Basic Nodes

The most important element of the device is an electro-effluvial "chandelier", as well as a transformer that converts the voltage. Actually, the "chandelier" in this case is called the negative ion generator itself. From its blades, negatively charged ions flow, which then simply adhere to the oxygen molecules. Due to this, the latter receive not only a negative charge, but also a high speed of movement.

Mechanical basis

For the base, a metal rim is used, the diameter of which should be at least a meter. After every four centimeters, copper wires (bare) are drawn on it with a diameter of approximately 1 mm. They must form a kind of hemisphere, which will sag down somewhat.

In the corners of this sphere should be soldered needles, the length of which is five centimeters, and the thickness does not exceed 0.5 mm. Important! Needles should be as high as possible sharpened, since in this case the probability of ozone formation, which at home is extremely harmful, decreases.

By the way, that's why Chizhevsky's chandelier should be made with their own hands as responsible as possible, with exact observance of all assembly schemes. Otherwise, you can get equipment that does not help improve your health.

Remarks on fastening

Three copper wires connected to each other by 120 ° are attached to the rim. Diameter - not less than 1 mm, exactly in the center of the chandelier they are welded together. It is to this point that high voltage should be applied.

Important! To the same point it is necessary to attach an anchorage, which will be at a distance of not less than one and a half meters from the ceiling or ceiling beam. The voltage must be at least 25 kV. Only with such a magnitude is sufficient enough vitality of ions, allowing them to perform their health functions.

Electrical diagrams and operating principle

But the most important thing in our narrative is the Chizhevsky chandelier scheme, without which you can hardly collect something useful. Just note that in an ordinary apartment you are unlikely to find everything you need for assembly, so you'll have to drop into the radio store.

When the positive half-cycle passes, due to the resistor R1, the diode VD1 and the transformer T1, the capacitor C1 is fully charged. The trinistor VS1 in this case is necessarily blocked, because the current does not pass through its control electrode.

If the half-period is negative, the diodes VD1 and VD2 are blocked. The voltage across the trinistor cathode is greatly reduced in comparison with the control electrode. Thus, a negative is formed on the cathode, and a positive electrode is obtained at the control electrode. Accordingly, there is a current formation, as a result of which the transistor opens. At the same time, the capacitor C1 is completely discharged, which passes through the primary winding of the transformer.

Since the transformer is used boosting, a high voltage pulse appears in the secondary winding. The above process occurs during each voltage period. Note that high-voltage pulses must be rectified, since damped oscillations occur during the discharge through the primary winding .

Use for this purpose a rectifier, which is assembled on diodes VD3-VD6. It is with its output and voltage comes (do not forget to put a resistor R3) on the very "chandelier".

The scheme of Chyzhevsky's chandelier described by us can also be found in any Soviet magazine for fans of radio engineering, but in any case it is useful to describe its principle of operation. Without this, it will be more difficult to understand some of the nuances of the assembly.

Some important information

Resistor R1 can be made up of three MLT-2, connected in parallel. Resistance of each - not less than 3 kOhm. Resistor R3 is also made of them, but here, MLT-2 can be taken already four pieces, and their total resistance should be of the order of 10 ... 20 MΩ.

On R2 we take one МЛТ-2. You should not take cheap varieties of all of the above components: such a power supply for the Chizhevsky chandelier can easily cause a fire, simply not withstanding the voltage.

Diodes VD1 and VD2 can be taken almost any, but the current strength should be not less than 300 mA, and the magnitude of the reverse voltage - not less than 400 V (diode VD1) and 100 V (VD2). If to speak about VD3-VD6, for them it is possible to take КЦ201Г-КЦ201Е.

Capacitor C1 we take the MBM, which can withstand a voltage of at least 250 V, C2 and C5 are taken PEA, calculated for a voltage of no less than 10 kV. In addition, C2 must withstand at least 15 kV. Of course, it is perfectly permissible to take any other capacitors that can withstand a current of 15 kV or more. In this case, the homemade Chizhevsky chandelier will be cheaper. As a rule, many necessary components can be pulled out of old radio equipment.

Trinistory and transformer

The trinistor VS1 can be selected from KU201K, KU201L or KU202K-KU202H. The T1 transformer may very well be made from the classic B2B ignition coil (6V) from any Soviet motorcycle.

However, nobody forbids to take for this purpose a similar part from the car. If you have an old television transformer line -scan TVS-110L6, then it's very good. Its third terminal must be connected to the capacitor C1, the second and fourth terminals are connected to the common wire. The high-voltage conductor must be connected to the capacitor C3 and the diode VD3.

That's about the way Chizhevsky's chandelier is made with his own hands. As you can see, it is necessary to have at least basic knowledge in electronics. Do not believe those charlatans on the Internet who talk about the possibility of assembling such a "chandelier" from improvised materials, since this is actually unrealistic.

How to test the design

How can one be sure that the construction constructed with such works works normally? We suggest using the most reliable and primitive tool for this - a small piece of cotton wool. Even the simplest Chizhevsky chandelier, the photo of which is in the article, will necessarily react to it.

It is known that even a small bunch of cotton fibers will begin to attract to the chandelier from a distance of about half a meter. If you simply bring your hand to the needles of the chandelier, then at a distance of 10-15 cm you will feel a distinct chill, which will indicate the full serviceability of the equipment.

By the way, if you decide to make a compact version of the ionizer, then the needles can be replaced by one metal plate with teeth. Of course, the effectiveness of such a device will be much lower, but to improve the air around the workplace it is quite suitable.

Some information about the correct conduct of ionotherapy sessions

Remember that the chandelier of Chizhevsky, reviews about which in most cases testify to its beneficial effect on the body, must necessarily be at a distance of not less than one and a half meters from the person. Sessions should be conducted for 45-50 minutes maximum. It is best to do this before going to bed, when fresh ionized air will help relieve tension and charge forces for the next working day.

Secondly, it should be remembered that stuffy and stale air is useless to ionize. If there is one carbon dioxide in the room, then the benefits from this event will be absolutely none.

By the way, the ionizer can be effectively used in southern regions, where a big problem is a strong dusting of air. In this respect, Chizhevsky's chandelier, whose testimonies confirm this, can precipitate dust even under conditions of low humidity.

Where it can be applied?

Of course, we have told you only about one design of the ionizer, which is quite suitable for use not only in domestic, but also in industrial conditions. In principle, you can upgrade the circuit yourself. It should only be taken into account that the output voltage should not be less than 25 kV. By the way, we remind once again that on the Internet there is often a scheme (Chizhevsky chandelier with your own hands), on which the output voltage on the rectifier is even less than 5 kV!

We assure you that such a device does not bring any practical benefit. Yes, the "budget chandelier" will create a certain concentration of negatively charged ions, but in their mass they will be too heavy, and therefore incapable of circulation in the airflow of the room.

However, such devices can be successfully used as a room cleaner from dust in the air, which will simply precipitate. In the end, Chizhevsky's chandelier is an air ionizer, and not an advanced cleaner. For this it is much better to use a conventional air conditioner.

But! Remember also the fact that any fundamental changes in the design, which was proposed by Chizhevsky himself, are strictly contraindicated. If you are not versed in electrical engineering and physiology, the experiments will lead only to a reduction in the efficiency of the device, as well as to the generation of an insufficient number of ions. You will only waste energy, without getting anything in return.

In general, Chizhevsky's chandelier with his own hands (photo of which is in the article) made, will give an excellent opportunity to save money on expensive medical equipment, to make your life healthier.
