This extraordinary dish was born, like many other genius things in the world, as a result of a banal human error. This dish was invented by a cook who worked in the hotel "Ritz" in 1850 and cooked breakfast for the multimillionaire Vanderbildt, without even thinking about how to make homemade chips. The easiest way for this is the chef's method, which reached the modern culinary specialists from the distant 1850. However, even in this simple recipe, there are secrets, first of all concerning the choice of potatoes. If you want to create delicious and healthy chips at home, you will have to look for suitable varieties: with dense tubers that are distinguished by a dense surface, the absence of external and internal damage and low sugar content. It is interesting that, in addition to potatoes, other products are often used as "material" for chips: pieces, pressed from cereals, rice plates or corn tortillas. No doubt, such ingredients are very healthy, but not all are considered tasty.

Create the same delicious chips at home, with the taste of chicken and cumin, best of all from the following products: potatoes (6 pcs.), A cube of "chicken broth" (15 grams) and a small amount of dried cumin (about 10 grams). Naturally, you will need vegetable oil for frying, as well as salt, otherwise the dish will lose half of its qualities. In the preparation of such a delicate dish, the thickness of slicing potatoes is of great importance - each slice should be dense enough and not to disintegrate hands, but at the same time, literally be visible through. When everything is ready, the slices will need to be lowered for a quarter of an hour in the water, then slightly dry with a paper towel. It is possible to cook chips at home very quickly and without too much effort - in a microwave oven. To do this, the chef will need to cut out a sheet of parchment, in the form coinciding with a dish for a microwave, well smear the paper with vegetable oil and gently lay on it a layer of slices of potatoes. To taste home chips can be sprinkled with salt and various seasonings, and then sent to the microwave. It is very difficult to determine the cooking time of a dish, since it depends only on the power of the device, but on average it is not more than 5 minutes.
