Cherepovets state district power station: characteristics and features
Cherepovets GRES is a condensation power plant that is located on the territory of an urban settlement called Kaduy in the Vologda region of the Russian Federation. This facility supplies electricity to the Vologda-Cherepovets site.
Brief information
Its power reaches-420 MW. The first power unit of the station was put into operation in 1976, on December 22. The second started working in 1977. The third power unit was launched in 1978. The steam and gas power unit was put into operation in 2014. The main fuel of the station is coal or gas, the reserve fuel is black oil.
Management
Power characteristic
The station is equipped with a synchronous alternator with a capacity of 210 MW. Provided for hydrogen cooling and brushless thyristor excitation type BTV-300. The facility is equipped with a block transformer with a capacity of 250 MVA. Above, we described the main resources available to Cherepovets GRES.
4 power unit should be considered separately. It consists of a single-shaft power plant, which belongs to a gas steam turbine, and a generator.
In the period 1996-1999. The transfer of the plant's boilers to the combustion of gas was carried out. In 2000, the peat-boiler of Block No. 1 was reconstructed. This allowed for more economical and efficient combustion of Intinsky coal and natural gas. In 2003, the process control system of the first power unit was put into pilot operation.
Construction of the second stage
In 2010, the board of directors of the company "OGK-6" determined the winner in the tender for erecting a new station block. Thus, the construction of the Cherepovets GRES during the second phase was entrusted to the engineering company Mikhail Abyzov under the name "E4 Group". The capacity of the combined-cycle power unit, which was built and entered the station, is 420 MW. In accordance with the contract, the amount of the contract amounted to 17.8 billion rubles. The supplier of the new unit was Siemens.
Also on the site are used various auxiliary technical elements from domestic producers. Work on the construction of a new power unit was launched in 2011. The facility was put into operation in 2014.
additional information
The power utilization factor reaches 46%. The station is capable of operating on German marks of coal. In a year the average enterprise consumes 562 million cubic meters of gas and 733 thousand tons of coal. In 2003, the automated process control system of Unit No. 1 was put into pilot operation. In 2011, the station began construction of a combined-cycle plant called PGU-420. Theoretically, the commissioning of a new power unit should increase the efficiency of the enterprise to 52-58%.
At the same time, specific fuel consumption may decrease to 220.1 g per kWh. "OGK-2" increased electricity generation by 7.1%. The growth of the indicator can be explained by the increase in the loading of blocks The production of heat decreased by 3.3%.
