In natural conditions, the habitat of centipedes is the fallen leaves or the territory under the trees. In the houses there are wet rooms. It can be a bathroom, cellars or basements. All winter home centipedes spend in the most secluded places. With the onset of spring, they become active. If the conditions in the room change in the direction of lowering the humidity, these insects migrate to a more comfortable place for them.

The centipede house is capable of biting a person. But this should not cause concern. The insect is unable to bite the skin. It attacks only for self-defense. And the poison at the centipede is weak, and the place of the bite does not hurt very much. Nuisance can occur only in allergic people. Sometimes they experience difficulty in breathing. In the struggle with the centipedes, you can also use sticky traps, which are laid out along the skirting boards and in the corners. Places where insects enter the house must be blocked. Cracks in the walls and foundation should be covered with cement. To close it is necessary and the space around the door and window openings. On the drain in the foundation is put a mosquito net. For the baiting of insects, any means from cockroaches and flies will do. However, it is desirable to use natural pesticides. It can be food grade diatom powder or boric acid.
