Care and cultivation. Pansies

Who does not know the flower with the affectionate name of "pansies"? This plant can be found in almost every garden, and on urban flower beds they are simply obligatory residents. But, as for any plant, for pansies there are also certain conditions that must be fulfilled for a longer flowering and decorative appearance of the plant.

Care, cultivation. Pansies - garden plants

Pansies, or tri-colored violet, perhaps - one of the favorite flowers since childhood. These flowers are very much appreciated because of their ability to bloom when many spring plants only grow. They are sufficiently resistant to spring frosts and unpretentious to the location of the situation.

Seedling. Cultivation

Pansies are not difficult to grow in a seedling way. To do this, pre-prepared special containers, filling them with a moist substrate. It includes leaf or turf soil and compost. In the prepared land, small grooves are made, where the seeds of the plants are neatly laid, then lightly sprinkled with earth and pressed. Seedlings appear for about two weeks. After the appearance of three or four real leaves, seedlings are planted in separate pots. Plant young plants on the bed can be no earlier than a month. Before transplanting into the garden, one should not forget that seedlings need hardening. About a week before the planting flowers begin to take out on the street, leaving first for half an hour, and then increasing the time for an hour every day.

Seeds. Cultivation

Pansies can be grown in two ways: one-year and two-year culture. In order for plants to blossom in the spring, the seeds begin to sow in late February. If the method of growing a two-year-old culture suits you, then the flower seeds should be planted in June.

Proper care and cultivation

Pansy - plants are quite resistant to frost. Therefore, the most common mistake of gardeners is planting seedlings at an earlier time than recommended. This is fraught with the fact that young plants freeze and begin to ache. They blossom, as a rule, by the end of summer. Having given all their strength to the flowering process, young plants meet the winter completely weakened and very often do not experience it, simply by freezing.

Two ways of reproduction of pansies are known: seeds and cuttings. The second method is used in May or June, when the flowers are already in the open ground. They cut off small shoots, which must have 2-3 nodules. Cuttings are planted in the ground at a short distance from each other, abundantly watered and sprinkled until they take root. Only the next year will blossom pansies.
Cultivation from seeds is a more popular method. Using this method, you can achieve early flowering plants, in addition, it allows you to plant more robust seedlings in the garden. True, when seeds are multiplied, bushes of plants tend to grow quite a lot, but this is a reparable matter.

Pansies, care and growing behind which is carried out properly, will surely thank you for a long and plentiful flowering. Such flowers are just an ornament of your garden.
