Brake system KamAZ - 5 circuits

The KamAZ brake system is a complex mechanism, in which today we try to sort out a little.

As in any car, the car device consists of such basic parts: the control system of electrical equipment and engine, undercarriage and transmission, body and engine. So, the KAMAZ brake system , we will consider in more detail.

The brake system of this car consists of 5 brake circuits. The device of KamAZ car: pumping compressed air, the compressor is the main part of the system. From the drive to the remaining parts of the brake drive, cleaned compressed air comes under pressure. The part of the drive, which supplies power, consists of a condensation receiver, a fuse, so that condensation, a pressure regulator and a compressor do not freeze. The KamAZ brake system is divided into circuits that are self-contained and separated by protective valves. Regardless of the breakdown, each of them works separately.

The first circuit consists of different braking mechanisms, pipelines and hoses, 2 brake chambers, a lower section of the brake valve, there is also a valve that monitors the control terminal, a pressure limiting valve. There is a two-gun manometer and a receiver with a capacity of 20 liters, having a pressure drop sensor.

The second circuit is the brake circuit of the rear trolley. It also consists of pipelines and hoses, brake mechanisms of the rear and intermediate bridges of the trolley, 4 brake chambers, in this circuit there is a two-gauge manometer and a check valve of automatic brake forces. Another brake device of the cart has a receiver with pressure sensors, for drainage of condensate there are special cranes with a total capacity of forty liters, as well as parts of the 3rd safety valve and the upper section of the brake valve.

The third circuit is a circuit that has a combined drive of the trailer's brake mechanisms. It consists of a two-wire drive of the trailer and sensor brakes, 3 connecting heads and disconnecting cranes, has a trailer brake control valve with a drive in one wire, there is a single safety valve. The third circuit has an accelerating, and also a double safety valve and other mechanisms.

The fourth circuit does not have its own receiver and is an element of the auxiliary brake system. It consists of hoses and pipelines, a lever drive cylinder that stops the engine, a pneumatic sensor. It has 2 shutter actuator cylinders, a part of a double-acting safety valve, and a pneumatic valve.

The fifth circuit does not have its own receiver, it is the contour of emergency brake release. It consists of pipelines and hoses, parts of the 3rd safety valve, has a pneumatic crane of a dual-line overflow valve. Three trunks connect the brake actuators (pneumatic) of the trailer and the KamAZ machines. This is the main line of a single-wire drive, feeding, and the brake line of a two-wire drive. Protects the condensation receiver with a volume of 20 liters from freezing on all KamAZ models.
