Bracket system: varieties and indications for use

Correct bite is very important for the health of the whole body, as it provides a normal chewing of food, and also prevents the occurrence of psychological discomfort. However, teeth do not always grow as expected. In order to ensure their normal location, the bracket system is most often used.

The presented device must be installed in those cases when:

• There is an anomaly of the whole dentition and several teeth;
• It is necessary to prepare the oral cavity for the subsequent prosthetics;
• Corpus movement of the crowns is required.

Also a bracket system is used, if it is necessary to withdraw teeth that have not yet been cut, and also to correct the profile of the face.

However, there are also contraindications to the use of the presented device. For example, it is impossible to establish it if there are hygienic problems in the oral cavity or there are cracks (chalk stains) on the enamel. Untreated caries, a large number of fillings and artificial crowns, mental and allergic diseases, frequent consumption of sugary foods or drinks - all this can also become a serious obstacle for such a procedure as installing a bracket system.

The presented device has a simple device: orthodontic rings, arches and, in fact, braces. These systems can be made of different materials: plastic, gold, steel, composite material, ceramics and even sapphire. The most commonly used is the metal bracket system, since it is sufficiently strong and inexpensive, and the treatment with such a device is quick. However, its disadvantage is that it can easily be noticed by other people.

Plastic devices are invisible, but they are very fragile and do not give a quick positive effect. Among the aesthetic devices the most durable, beautiful, but quite expensive is the ceramic bracket system. To emphasize the status or position of a person, gold fixtures are installed (steel covered with gold). Moreover they are absolutely harmless and do not cause allergic reactions.

With regard to the method of attachment, it is possible to identify vestibular (located on the front surface of the teeth) and lingual (located on the back surface) of the device.

Sapphire bracket-system is made of artificially grown stones. Their main advantage is that they do not break the aesthetics of a smile, since they are almost invisible on the teeth. Any discomfort in the oral cavity or allergic reactions, these devices do not cause, and their cost is acceptable for most patients. Sapphire products have a very beautiful luster, which gives the smile an extra charm.

Artificial stones do not have an adverse effect on the body. Moreover, they do not enter into any reaction with drinks or food. Dental plaque on them does not accumulate, so it is easy to take care of them. And such systems are very reliable and durable.
