Analytical background: structure and recommendations for drafting

An analytical reference is a document that contains the results of studies conducted in a particular field. They write it, as a rule, with the goal of articulating the problems and conclusions that have arisen. The document must contain several options for getting out of the situation, based on the information available to everyone.

Analytical Background: Structure

The scope of this document, as well as its form, is not strictly regulated. The framework for its compilation is the following elements:

1. Annotation. This is a brief summary of the essence of the document: for what reasons and under what circumstances did it become necessary to write it, what tasks and goals did the object set for itself, what methods of research did it use, and what results did it receive? Disclosure of each of these issues begins with a new paragraph. Sources of information used by the author are also indicated here . All this data is presented in 2/3 A4 sheets.

2. Table of contents. It lists all the structural elements of the analytical reference and specifies the page numbers.

3. Introduction. It must be present necessarily, although it may not be distinguished by separate subheadings. The introduction briefly outlines the main problem, methods, objectives and principles used in its study, outlines the range of issues that are to be considered.

4. The main part, consisting of several sections and subsections. This is the essence of the whole study. The questions studied on the topic are set out in a logical chain. The speaker should rely not only on additional literature, but also on his own study of sources. The data are summarized and analyzed step by step. Hypotheses are put forward and immediately substantiated.

5. Conclusion. Analytical information at the end must necessarily contain conclusions, as well as forecasts and recommendations. They rely on the information set out in the previous sections of the document.

6. Signature. At the end of the analytical reference, a note is made about the responsible executor of the document. The date and phone numbers of the work phones are also indicated.

7. Appendix. It contains various tables, charts, diagrams, vocabulary and other additional information. If leadership is required, a list of literature is also compiled.

Analytical background: recommendations for writing

It is better that the document pursues one goal, and the whole text was aimed at achieving it. To make the analytical note look more objective, you need to request information from colleagues from outside agencies. Scientific terms, known only to specialists, should be replaced with expressions that are understandable to the majority. Each main section of the document must begin with a new page. Only after the analytical note is approved by the head, it can be issued in the form of a brochure.

Analytical note in educational institutions

The writing of this document is widespread in pedagogical practice. For example, the teacher's analytical reference is created to show what he worked on during the year, what results he achieved, and what methods he used. It is also necessary to visualize pedagogical experience and its transfer to young specialists. In the pre-school general educational institution, the writing of this document is also practiced. The analytic certificate of the educator contains information on how the tasks set for the academic year were fulfilled, about the shortcomings of the work, about the goals for the future.
