Canada's domestic needs are fully provided for in all types of products, among other things it is also a fairly large exporter of vegetable oil and wheat. The basis of agricultural enterprises is farming. Many farmers own land. In addition, most farms are highly specialized enterprises. Their focus is mainly on grain farms or livestock farms, with dairy and meat specialization.

Agriculture in Canada has a structure in which animal husbandry prevails, although plant growing is quite developed. Canada has secured a place in the top ten countries for gross grain production. In addition, the volume of production of fodder and oil-bearing crops has greatly increased in recent years.

The agricultural lands of this country occupy an area equal to 70 million hectares. In the steppe provinces there are grain farms, meat-wool sheep breeding and pasture and meat cattle breeding. In Quebec and Ontario, seed potatoes are produced and dairy farming is developed. British Columbia and Nova Scotia are famous for their fruit growing. Canada also ranks third in the world in collecting wheat.

A quarter of all commodity output this country sends for export to different countries. At the same time, the basis of Canadian exports is manufactured goods (mainly automotive industry). In addition, paper and grain are removed from here. The foreign trade relations of Canada are directed to the United States, then to Japan, and only then to the countries of the European Union, and recently relations with the countries of Latin America have gained a big role.

By providing all kinds of natural resources and natural conditions, Canada is not inferior to Russia. Its wealth is mineral resources. In addition, there are significant reserves of ores of copper, zinc, nickel and lead. Canada is rich in natural gas, oil, iron ore, uranium, asbestos and coal. Due to this, it is considered one of the largest suppliers of mineral raw materials to those countries of the world that are industrially developed.

Agriculture Canada - a developed industry, which largely influences the country's agricultural business. But in addition, there are many forests here. Therefore Canada occupies the third place in the world for timber reserves. Many in the country and natural resources of the animal world - commercial fish (cod, herring, salmon, halibut) and fur animals. And in the reserves of fresh water it was bypassed only by Russia and Brazil. But the territory of Canada is unevenly exploited due to natural features.
