A bit of history

Nikonova Matrona Dmitrievna was born blind in a poor large family of peasants in 1881 in the Tula province in the village of Sebino. She was born with her eyes closed and with a mark in the form of a cross on her chest. At the age of 8, the girl was talked about as a healer. People's strings stretched from different parts of Russia to ask for help from the young Matrona. When the girl turned 17 years old, her legs were cut off.
