Where does Escherichia coli go from the urine?
Escherichia coli (intestinal stick) is a fairly common microorganism that provokes numerous pathologies in the sexual, digestive, urinary systems. As a variant of the norm, the bacterium is present in the mucous membranes and on the skin.
Escherichia coli in the urine. Causes
As a rule, the mechanism of infection is caused by the direct penetration of the microorganism from the intestine with insufficient or no hygiene measures.
Diagnosis of infections
The most common method of detecting a microorganism is a bacteriological method - sowing material on special media. If there is a suspicion of infection in the laboratory, the pathogen is identified and its susceptibility to antibiotics is determined. If Escherichia coli is detected in the crop in an amount exceeding the norm, a corresponding degree of microbiological abnormality is established.
Infections caused by Escherichia coli. Treatment
First of all, organizational and regulatory measures are applied. In accordance with clinical indications, hospitalization may be recommended. Given the nature of the lesion, a diet regimen is prescribed. When Escherichia coli is detected in the urine, appropriate medicines are recommended: antibiotics, bacteriophages. In addition, the pathogenetic (usually infusion) and postdromal (according to manifestations) therapy are prescribed.
What drugs are recommended for infection?
When Escherichia coli is detected in the urine, antibiotic therapy should be prescribed in accordance with the antibioticogram of the isolated microorganism. As a rule, the sensitivity of E. coli manifests itself to the drugs from the group of fluoroquinolone ("Levofloxacin", for example), nitrofurans, "Amoxicillin" and others. Appointment of a medicine, dosage and schedule, as well as the duration of the appointment is assigned only by a specialist. It is highly discouraged to independently conduct therapy, and also to use antibiotics to prevent infections. Effective against E. coli of various types of bacteriophage (coliprotein and others). A number of medicines contain specially obtained strains of the microorganism. Postindromic therapy with Escherichia coli in the urine is assigned personally according to the leading syndrome of pathology.
