When does ovulation occur or how to get pregnant faster?

Every woman who has firmly decided to become a mommy, is interested in how to get pregnant faster. After all, not everyone can do it the first time. You can significantly increase your chances by knowing when the woman is ovulating.

Normally this happens once per menstrual cycle. However, there are cases when there is no ovulation at all or there are two of them at once. The latter situation can be triggered by the intake of hormones, violent sexual intercourse or violent emotions. This is also the norm, if it happens sometimes. However, in some diseases, ovulation may not occur at all, and this is a pathology that requires treatment.

There are several days per cycle when you can get pregnant. This is the period when ovulation occurs, and the rest of the time the probability is very small. The fact is that the egg after getting into the uterine tube from the ovary lives no more than a day, and sometimes several hours.

Spermatozoa can live for several days. Ideally, they should already be in the fallopian tube before the egg leaves. Therefore, it is so important to know when ovulation occurs, and it is better in advance.

Egg release occurs 14 days before menstruation. The less regular the cycle, the more difficult it is to determine this time. However, the sensation of ovulation can help in this:

  • Pain in the ovarian region, this phenomenon is called ovulatory syndrome ;
  • Vaginal discharge as egg white;
  • Increased sexual desire;
  • Failure on the graph of basal temperature.

In addition, there are more accurate methods for determining the time of release of the egg. The most convenient and modern is the test for ovulation, sold in a pharmacy. It determines the elevated level of LH (luteinizing hormone) in the urine.

It is he who stimulates ovulation. Therefore, a positive test indicates that the egg will be released in a day or two. In this period, it is worth paying attention to intimate relationships.

It is necessary to start making tests 17 days before menstruation. Perform them at the same time every day, before this 2 hours do not drink and do not urinate. If the cycle is irregular, then take the shortest of the last four for calculations. A positive result indicates a rapid ovulation.

However, the problem is that the test fixes the LH jump. If there are health problems, ovulation may not occur. It can be confirmed only by regular ultrasound during the cycle.

They allow you to track the maturation of the follicle, the correspondence of its size to the norm, and also to fix the appearance of a yellow body in its place, which indicates that ovulation occurred. Another ultrasound is done to determine the thickness of the endometrium during the period of the implantation of a fertilized egg into it.

Statistics show that the probability of getting pregnant on the day of ovulation is about 33%, a day before it - 31%, and for two - 27%. If the sex was for 3-4 days, then it is no more than 15%, for 5 days - 10%. The rest of the time the probability of getting pregnant is very small.

The basal temperature is measured every morning after awakening by a conventional thermometer in the rectum. The results are marked on the chart, the failure on which is indicative of the ovulation that has occurred. This is its drawback, to which is added not very high accuracy. Since many factors affect basal temperature.

The point is also that during the ovulation the consistency of the mucus in the cervical canal changes. At this time, it facilitates the penetration of spermatozoa into the uterus. That is why specific vaginal discharge appears.

Thus, knowledge of when ovulation occurs and intimate relationships with a partner during this period significantly increase the likelihood of conception of the child. However, it still does not exceed 33%. Help determine the time of release of the egg's own feelings and modern methods.
