When does ovulation occur after menstruation? Methods for calculating the time "H"

The female organism is a unique and incredibly complex mechanism, subject to the activity of hormones. Especially important and complex work of the reproductive system. So, there are several phases of the menstrual cycle. And when is ovulation after menstruation? It is necessary to understand this.

What is ovulation?

If you want to find out when ovulation occurs after menstruation, then first understand the essence of this phenomenon. So, fertilization is due to the fusion of female and male sex cells. Female, which is called an egg, ripens a certain period of time, then to be ready to conceive. At the moment when there is a "combat readiness", the follicle, which is a vial, comes out of the ovary and bursts at a certain moment (all this is due to the activity of the luteinizing hormone). After that, the mature egg should either fertilize and go to the uterus to give birth to a new life, or to leave the body in case of uselessness (if conception does not come). And a mature egg lives only 24-36 hours. So, this very moment of maturation is called ovulation.

When to wait for ovulation?

So, when does ovulation occur after menstruation? An accurate and reliable answer to this question is difficult to give, because each organism is individual and works in a special way. But doctors and scientists believe that the egg ripens around 11-18 days of the menstrual cycle (its beginning is considered the beginning of menstruation), depending on the duration of the cycle. If you count down, from the first day of the next month you need to count about 16-19 days. But sometimes ovulation starts immediately after menstruation, as it can be early or, conversely, late. In addition, in some women, even a few eggs can go out in a single cycle. In this case, it is very difficult to find out when ovulation begins after menstruation, because this, in fact, can happen at any time. In addition, for some reason, in one or several cycles, this phase may be absent altogether.

How to determine the date of ovulation?

Can I find out when ovulation occurs after menstruation? Yes, there are several ways.

1. Graph of basal temperature. If every morning (without getting out of bed) to measure basal temperature (in the anus), then you can see some fluctuations. So, before ovulation you can notice a sharp drop in temperature.

2. Tests for determining ovulation. They help determine the level of luteinizing hormone and find out whether the egg is ripe.

3. The calendar method. If the cycle is regular, then you can calculate when the next ovulation will be. But calculations can be inaccurate in the case of any hormonal changes.

4. Ultrasound examination.

5. There are some symptoms: pain in the abdomen (namely, in the lower part of it), a change in the nature and amount of secretions, engorgement of the mammary glands. But not always such signs speak about ovulation.

One need only add that it is not always possible to find out exactly and reliably the date of ovulation.
