When a man is brutal: is it his choice or the demands of society?

If, when speaking of a man, the word "brutalen" is used is a kind of compliment, a confirmation of its solvency and physical attractiveness for the opposite sex. What is it: a new trend or a return to basics?

Century ago, family and love relationships were simple and understandable. The man was assigned the role of a defender and a getter. He had to provide his family financially, guard against external threats. The life of most men was associated with physical work and harsh living conditions. The woman created a cosiness and kept a home.

Over time, the need for immediate physical protection, as such, was gradually lost. Engage in pronounced "masculine" professions (loaders, builders, loggers, tractor drivers, plumbers) is no longer prestigious. Men became designers, fashion designers, cooks. There was a large outflow of the male population in offices and web studios. Women have mastered the profession, always considered exclusively male: an engineer, a banker, a taxi driver, a lawyer and even a guard. Such a situation at the beginning of the last century would seem simply inconceivable.

It is not surprising that against the background of such strong social modifications, the requirements of the sexes have changed for each other. In particular, women began to demand evidence of "male competence" from their office elected. Many girls want their boyfriend to be brutal. This should be expressed both in its appearance and in some aspects of its behavior. In fact, this requirement is in line with the desire of men to see their beloved in a beautiful dress and high heels. And if everything is clear with female beauty - Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn are still examples of femininity, then with brutality - not very. So what does "brutal man" mean, and how should it be?

As in women's beauty, there are examples to follow. First of all, these are the Hollywood actors of the new wave: Jason Statham, Gerard Butler and Hugh Jackman. The relief body, week-old bristles and a stern look are permanent attributes of popular retrosexuality today. As for the style in clothes, these are multiple references to the classics and simplicity: drapery raincoats, things from the skin, blue loose jeans, shirts, checkered shirts. Many are mistaken, thinking that a brutal man is a retro-personality with a personal stylist. This image is somewhat deeper. When they say "brutal", this implies a number of personal qualities. Courage, strength, composure, responsibility and reliability.

We can say that this image is heavily influenced by the modern film industry. Despite the fact that many men tend to look brutal, a similar type can rarely be found in real life. Will it remain as a reference point for future generations of men or will it become another social trend that will be forgotten? It can not be said for sure. Relations between the sexes continue to develop rapidly and become more complicated. Perhaps the belief that a real man should be brutal is the anchor that clings to the old model of relationships, the relevance of which is smaller and smaller every day.
