What should be the design of the teen's room?

Parents of teenagers do not envy. It is difficult to communicate with children of transitional age . Even if the son or daughter used to trust Mom and Dad, now everything changes. Including the interests of the child. Therefore, the design of the teen's room needs to be changed.

First of all, it's worth talking to the child himself and finding out what he wants to see his room. But just listen to a little. It is necessary to translate his ideas into reality, at least some.

The design of the teen's room should reflect its essence and correspond to its character. If, for example, a child is very active, restless, then for his room it is better to choose soothing colors - green, blue. For a teenager pensive, melancholic, on the contrary, yellow, orange and other colors that cheer up are suitable.

If we talk about functionality, then here it is required to create almost impossible - in one room to combine a large number of zones. In addition, a child of this age usually has a lot of things - from books to technical equipment, so the design of the teen's room should combine the properties of the apartment as a whole, only in a reduced version.

What zones should be present here?

1. Sleeping area. It is best to put a bed. If the area does not allow, you can use for these purposes and a sofa that in the daytime will serve as a rest area.

2. Rest zone. In the event that the room is large enough, the rest zone can be equipped separately. There is a sofa, armchairs, a floor lamp, a coffee table.

3. Working area. Without it, the design of a teen's room is impossible. This, it can be said, is a key place in the whole interior. Here the child does homework, reads, works at the computer. Particular attention should be given to lighting in this area. As already noted, the work area performs quite a lot of functions, so consider the option of a multi-level shelf.

4. Space for technical equipment. It can be a music center, a laptop or a stationary computer, or all at once. It is important that each device has a separate place in the room. The computer is often located in the work area, and the music equipment - in the recreation area.

4. Wardrobe and library. Every teenager has many books. Textbooks, fiction, all kinds of encyclopedias and magazines. That literature, from which the child "grew", it is better to remove from his room - and junk is less, and more space. A As for the wardrobe, then there can not do without gender differences. A teenage boy has much less things than a girl, so it's better to choose a wardrobe with many shelves for his clothes. The girl, on the contrary, will need a wardrobe with a roomy compartment for hangers.

The design of the room for the boy-teenager is often more reserved and sustained in the classical style. But even the boys are giving surprises. Perhaps you should pay attention to the wallpaper for painting, so that the child himself could create an individual style of his "den".

And what about the girls? The design of the room for a teenage girl is characterized by tenderness and romance. Although here everything also depends on the mistress of the room. Not all modern girls are dreamy. Therefore, when choosing colors and materials for finishing a teenager's room, do not forget to bring your child with you.
