What films are worth seeing if you have a broken heart?
A broken heart is a part of life. Of course, it's unpleasant, no matter what your age and wherever it happens to you. Fortunately, as with many other problems in life, movies can help you.
"In pursuit of Amy"
This is already quite an old film - a romantic comedy for twenty years. Nevertheless, the central plot is still fresh. The idea of a film about how a heterosexual man falls in love with a lesbian woman may seem somewhat insulting, but it's really a talented director's work.
Manchester by the Sea
This is the freshest tape on the list, and it's incredibly good. This is a story about a man suffering from depression, and about how he is trying to return to his old life. This tape is perfect for someone who has a broken heart. Casey Affleck quite rightly received an Oscar for his role - he played the main character. There is a relationship between the protagonist and his teenage nephew and ease, but the story is full of the feeling of endless agony and pain.
"The Stolen Date"
This is a romantic comedy from Britain, a typical story about how a guy meets a girl, but with a few unusual twists and turns. Although the end and happy, the main characters represent different stages of experience after a heavy separation. The main heroine of Nancy is a cynical woman who has already surrendered and does not try to find a partner for herself.
"In Flight"
Who would leave a sweet Jason Siegel to go to Russell Brenda? This tape is quite stereotyped, yet it still deserves attention. The protagonist goes on vacation to forget the girl who threw him, but in the same hotel he discovers her - and her new boyfriend!
"The Bridget Jones Diary"
This is a classic film about parting for all the girls, which over the years does not get any worse. From the very beginning to the end, this tape is ideal for a sad evening after parting with a partner. It's a straightforward, honest and tough enough film when poor Bridget stays alone shortly after she thought she was doing well.
Annie Hall
This is a classic melodrama from Woody Allen, in which the director and Diane Keaton played. This is a story about how a couple tries to keep their doomed to failure relationship. Parting is a complicated and intricate theme, which is perfectly illustrated on the screen. The most spectacular moment is the final scene, when the characters spread all their feelings.
"Celeste and Jesse Forever"
This is a romantic melodrama of 2012, which tells about what happens when people together turn out to be not like each other. The main roles were played by Andy Samberg and Rashida Jones, who played the former spouses. They are united by long relations, but they can not return the spark. Spectators watch how they deal with their relationship, but the ending is not entirely clear.
"If"
In the center of the story is the heroine, who has a boyfriend for a long time at a time when the protagonist meets her. The main characters have to cope with difficulties and deal with their feelings. Heroes are not evaluated in terms of positivity or negativity.
The Raven
This film is quite tragic - Brandon Lee died right on the set, however, it's interesting to watch.
"Arrival"
This is a fantastic film with an unusual twist of the plot, capable of conquering you with the depth of emotions. Actress Amy Adams plays the role of linguist, who must communicate with aliens. Almost the whole film she plays alone, in some scenes appearing with Jeremy Renner playing a scientist-physicist.
Be the hero of your own story
A broken heart is something that everyone has to face sooner or later. When this happens to you, you can look for comfort in films, because they help to understand a lot. The movie does not condemn you for the wrong choice, because you could not fall in love, or because you do not have the strength to survive this.
