What does the certificate of a large family give and how to get it?

If there are three or more children in the family, it may well claim the status of having many children. What privileges, discounts and compensations are given by the certificate of a large family? Where and how to get this document?

Large family: definition and status

What is a large family? This is a family with three or more children. In conditions of the demographic crisis, it is not everyone who decides how to raise such a large number of children. Many children today are simply not in vogue, but a few decades ago this was the norm.

A family in which only mom, dad and one toddler, and even more so if he has only one parent at all, can not provide the child with a normal socialization within this cell of society. But children from large families with proper upbringing grow up as independent people, who are stable mentally and are able to adapt better to any life situations.

To change the demographic situation in the country for the better, the government seeks with all its might. Therefore, it takes measures to ensure that the number of children in families increases, and the well-being of families themselves grows. One of such measures is precisely the issuance of certificates of a large family.

What is this document and what does it give?

The certificate of a large family confirms its status in official instances. You can get it at your place of residence by simply contacting the social protection department. Moreover, the employees of this department should pay attention to such a family regularly, and not once. That is, to be interested in the life and income level of its members, to provide them with the necessary support, including financial support.

Of course, the state allocates funds for various kinds of assistance to large families. This is humanitarian support, benefits, discounts, permits, free provision of various things, etc. Entire plots for large families are given for construction and farming. And they also do everything to make their parents "sigh more freely".

What do children from large families have right for?

  • Free school meals.
  • Free schooling at the art school or at a music school, for example.
  • Free issuance of textbooks.
  • Free school uniform or other clothes replacing it in this school establishment, as well as a sports uniform.
  • Free or discounted vouchers for rest or for children's camp.
  • Extraordinary admission to kindergarten, preferential payment or full absence of payment for its services.
  • Free prescription drugs.
  • Free travel on public transport (except for taxis).
  • Free or at reduced prices hikes in museums, exhibitions, zoos, parks of culture, etc.

Discounts and benefits for large families

But what benefits will be of interest first of all to parents:

  • The minimum discount of 30% for payment of utilities: water, heating, sewage, electricity and so on.
  • Allocation of garden and vegetable plots. Plots for large families should be at least 0.15 hectares.
  • Financial support for the construction and improvement of living conditions. Including loans on preferential terms, subsidies and loans without interest, offsetting the costs of construction and building materials.
  • Parents of 3 or more children who wish to organize their own farm on a farm or peasant basis, also receive land for these purposes. In addition, they are granted tax benefits, reduced rent and material assistance for reimbursement of expenses.

All this is spelled out in a special presidential decree, which includes measures to support large families.

Where to turn?

How and where to get a certificate of a large family? To do this, you need to contact the department of the Ministry of Social Development at the place of residence or in the Multifunctional Center, which provides public services.

You can apply for the document to the mother (or father), whether or not married. The main thing is that together with the person who applied, three or more minor children lived. These include the adopted child, as well as a stepdaughter or stepchild. The certificate of a large family is issued for one family.

What documents do I need to provide?

The following basic documents need to be brought to the social protection authorities:

  • A copy of the passport of a large mother or father (the original will also need to be presented).
  • Copies of the birth certificates of each child (with the presentation of the original).
  • A certificate of the place of residence of a large family (provided that there is no such data in the passport) or an extract from the home book.
  • A copy of the marriage certificate or divorce (again with the original).
  • A pair of photographs of the applicant in a 3 by 4 cm format.

In some cases, copies of the following documents may be required:

  • A certificate of paternity or a court decision that entered into force.
  • The court's decision on the place of residence or a notarized agreement of the parents (if they are divorced) about the residence of children (the child).
  • Certificate of death of one of the parents.

After you have accepted the application, the decision is made within 15 days. At the end of this period, there is either a refusal or issuance of certificates to large families.

The status of a large family can and lose, respectively, and deprived of identity. This happens if:

  • The family is no longer large.
  • One of the children is fully supported by the state.
  • One of the parents is deprived of their rights or is restricted in them.
  • The family moves to another place of residence (in this case, the certificate will have to be received again, in another office for residence).

Assistance to large families from the state is often a decisive factor for many of them. That is why recently the demographic situation has stabilized, and the status of a large family has changed. If earlier they talked about it only as "they produce poverty", now they have honorable children and deserve respect from others.
