What do white dots under the eyes mean

White dots on the skin, called by people prosyanka, have the official medical name - milium. Where do they come from? Most often, their appearance is associated with a delay in the secretion of sebaceous glands, which is due to increased secretion of sebum. As a rule, people tend to suffer from piercing mostly with oily skin. In addition, the problem can be caused by an elevated cholesterol level. If you are determined to get rid of them, tune in that you have to visit several doctors, do ultrasound of the gallbladder and pass a series of tests.

How to get rid of the problem

If you did all the tests, and nothing critical was revealed, you can try to remove the white dots under the eyes with the help of cosmetic procedures. There are several very effective methods.

1. Mechanical removal. With a squeeze, you can effectively fight with a thin sterile needle. However, in no case do not try to do it yourself, trust professional cosmetologist. He carefully disinfects your skin with alcohol lotion, and then gently pierces the needle with each clogged duct. Pay attention: the needle must be strictly perpendicular to the face. After that, the cosmetologist Wraps each finger with a sterile napkin and gently presses on the area around the dots, thereby helping the contents of the sebaceous canal to come out. The procedure can be quite painful, because, if you do not remove the sink through to the end, the situation will only worsen. At the conclusion of the procedure, the face is again cleansed with lotion. Once again we remind: to conduct mechanical removal at home is strictly prohibited! At home, it is difficult to maintain complete sterility, so you run the risk of infection, which will be much harder to remove. Points on the skin - a mere trifle compared to what they can turn into. In addition, when careless handling of the needle can damage the delicate, thin skin of the eyelids and sub-glans, which is very dangerous.
2. White dots under the eyes can be removed with electrocoagulation. Like the previous procedure, it is performed by a cosmetologist. In this case, with a thin needle of the electrocoagulator, a weak electric current is applied to the blocked channel. It sounds pretty creepy, but in reality everything is not so scary: you will not feel anything, and the signs of cauterization will pass within 24 hours.

3. Another effective method by which you can remove white dots under the eyes - laser. Like the previous version, the use of the laser is completely painless. Most specialists in instrumental cosmetology recommend this procedure as the most effective and sparing for the skin. In addition, the use of a laser minimizes the risk of recurrence.

If you manage to safely get rid of such a problem as white dots under your eyes, do not forget about prevention in order to prevent their reoccurrence. A good prophylactic is a mask of water sponging, which has an exfoliating and soothing effect (make sure that you do not have a skin allergy before using it). Do not use cosmetics category "mass market", buy cosmetics only in the pharmacy. Pay attention to your diet: exclude everything sweet, fatty and fried. Often go outside and your skin will look perfect.
