Ventilation deflectors: product description

At present, the use of devices such as ventilating deflectors is becoming more common. They are important in modern households. These devices are special attachments for strengthening traction by using wind energy inside the ventilation system. At the same time, they protect the equipment from atmospheric precipitation and wind pressure, as well as from the ingress of dust, leaves and other contaminants into the system. Ventilation deflectors are selected for a certain exhaust system on the basis of special calculations, which determine the type of the device, the location of its installation, as well as its overall dimensions and appearance. These calculations can be carried out independently, having certain skills, but it will be better to use the help of professionals in this matter, since the ventilating rotational deflector can not be installed without preliminary calculations performed by a specialist. Ventilation deflectors are made of cold-rolled or galvanized steel. To prevent corrosion damage and extend the operational life of the equipment, the coating of the metal is carried out using paint and varnish materials. It can be a special enamel, a primer, a powder coating. The connection can be flanged or nipple. With timely and quality maintenance (cleaning from dirt and dust, renovation of the coating), these products can serve for decades.

The main indicators that characterize ventilating deflectors are:

  • Connection design (nipple, flanged);
  • Wall thickness and height.

All sizes are calculated in accordance with regulatory documents (GOST, SNiPu). For these calculations, the characteristics of the installation site (private or multi-apartment buildings, shopping centers, sports halls) and operational characteristics (protection of the exhaust equipment from atmospheric precipitation) are used.
