Vampire Saga "Twilight": books in order

The books of Stephanie Meyer about the uneasy relationship between the ordinary girl Bella and the vampire Edward have long captivated the readers. Each work became a bestseller, and in its totality, a series of novels sold around the world in a huge circulation. How not to get confused and do not make a mistake with the sequence of volumes? Those who are not familiar with the history, start with the first part, called "Twilight." Books in order, published after, we consider in our article.

Love and Vampires: getting acquainted

The first part appeared on the shelves of bookstores in 2005. According to the writer, the book was intended for a teenage audience. There was no other plot: 17-year-old Bella arrives in a small town where her father lives, with whom she rarely sees after the separation of her parents. At a local school, the girl meets a mysterious Edward, from whom there is a real mystery. Between them a passionate feeling arises, but first a young man with white skin must confess something ...

Vampire themes are saturated with all the "Twilight". Books in order should continue reading the volume "New Moon", in which this theme continues to develop.

The further, the more interesting

What is the difference between the second part? As Stephanie Meyer admitted, she dedicated her true love. Bella is overwhelmed with feelings for Edward, but having learned his family secret, she is forced to reconsider her attitude towards him. But can anything really break real feelings? And nevertheless, the continuation is focused on the heroine's sufferings from the possible loss of love. To give more romance to the narrative, the author made parallels with "Romeo and Juliet", which attentive readers could see in the novel.

The final "New Moon" is associated with the adoption of a complex decision. Bella agrees to turn to vampires to be closer to her beloved, in which the entire Cullen family supports her.

Third "Twilight"

The list of books is supplemented in order by the next part, called "Eclipse." At the time of its release, in 2007, the vampire saga has already formed an army of fans. As the statistics, in the first days of sales "Eclipse" sold millions of copies.

Bella suffers from the realization that she has hurt Jacob, because he loves her too. In the war between vampires and werewolves, there is a lull, but, as it turns out later, it's not for long. The ending is built around the wedding of the main characters, who assign her date. Offended Jacob decides to go away, remaining in the guise of a wolf ...

Unusual "man-vampire" finale

Key events for the whole history occur in the next part, which is often called "Twilight. Saga". In order the books need to continue to list, always mentioning the fourth under the account of the product called "Dawn". Dual interpretation is due to the fact that the screen version of this part was divided into two separate films.

The narrative is united by a common theme - the birth of the child Edward and Bella. The future daughter in itself is incredibly strong, because it combines the features of a vampire and a person. She takes too much life energy from her mother, leaving Bella without strength. She miraculously manages to survive. Renesmee grows up very quickly. Her appearance gives birth to a lot of gossip: there are those who are happy with this event, but there are those who even more strongly hate the Cullen family ...

Other story

Together with the final part of the vampire saga, another product from this series, under the general title "Twilight", was on sale. Books should be added in order "Sun of midnight", but officially this work does not belong to a series of novels. Its peculiarity consists in the narrative time - the plot develops simultaneously with the first part, but the reader sees the action with the eyes of not Bella, but Edward. To the questions of journalists, for what purpose it was done, Stephanie Meyer answered that she wanted to show the searches for herself and the experiences connected with the new relations, through the eyes of the main male character. Whether it was successful or not - judge the fans. It is worth adding that the "Sun of midnight", and the remaining part of the work that was not included in the vampire saga, sold as impressive an edition as other parts of it.
