Tulips. Landing

Tulip is a spring flower, without which it is impossible to imagine a garden plot after the end of a cold winter. Spring plants please the eye not only with the color variety, but also with the richness of the forms. The first tulips, as a rule, appear in the end of April. But since there are a lot of varieties, you can pick up those that begin to bloom in May or June. Thus, the garden life of tulips is not limited to one period.

One of the first to blossom is Turkestan, Bucker's tulips or squat. The most fertile environment for them is dry soil and well-warmed places. It is in such conditions that they grow several seasons in a row, forming new bulbs.

A little later, tulips of other varieties with larger flowers begin to bloom , which the previous species can not boast. To enjoy their beauty all year round, you need to figure out how to plant tulips. For this, varieties of early, middle and late representatives should be planted. Only this method will maintain the brightness of the garden.

To keep the fruits large and healthy, they should be digged every year. The thing is that the vegetation period of each mother bulb is accompanied by the formation of daughter bulbs, the largest one is replacing, and the smallest one is babies. As the plant fades, the roots and scales of the mother bulb die, and the life of the tulip is continued by the "children". Often they form a large number of new bulbs, which are closely adjacent to each other. As a result, they become smaller, flowers weaken and lose attractiveness. Dig up the tulips as soon as the leaves begin to turn yellow and fade.

For flowers to continue to grow in their place for several seasons in a row, this requires care for the tulips. First of all, the saturation of the soil with the necessary nutrients. In the autumn period, the area with the planted bulbs should be sprinkled with the composted potatoes. It is important to closely monitor the wilted peduncles and cut them until they lose strength by forming fruit with the seeds. Once the leaves are dried, the bulbs should be removed from the containers, dried and put in a dry place until the fall.

Tulips, the planting of which requires special knowledge, is best planted in the autumn period. In order for the bulbs to not damage the rodents, they should be placed in the protective baskets of wire before burying them in the ground.

Tulips, the landing of which is accompanied by a little cunning, can be arranged in two tiers. This trick will prolong the flowering period. For this, it is necessary to plant a part of the bulbs to a depth several times the length of the bulb. This will be the first tier. Fill it with earth and drop the second one. Thus, in the spring period, the upper ones already begin to bloom, while the lower ones still pierce the path to the sun, thereby prolonging the flowering period.

Tulips, planted with bulbs, require a preliminary check for the presence of disease. Before planting, you need to make sure of the good quality of the material: no dents and mold, and the presence of husks. No less important is the size of the bulb - the bigger, the better. The first stage in the planting is the preparation of soil - digging and, if necessary, the addition of the necessary substances. It is important to know that in no case should you add fresh manure, as this leads to decay of the roots.

Tulips, planting which requires compliance with a number of rules, it is important to plant at certain temperatures. Six weeks before the onset of frost, the nighttime air temperature should be between five and ten degrees of heat. In the case of an earlier planting, frost can damage shoots.

When planting the bulbs, do not strongly press on them, so as not to damage the bottom. After all is planted, pour them and cover the mulch. Due to this, the required temperature and water regime will be maintained. And with the arrival of spring mulch can be cleaned.
