Calligraphy fragrant, also called Golden mustache, is a plant belonging to the comnelin family, which includes about 500 species. In folk medicine, it is used very actively - after all, the Golden mustache, care of which is quite simple, has medicinal properties.

Golden mustard is grown by many lovers of indoor plants. It is not difficult to take care of him, but the benefit he can bring is enormous. This plant contains flavonoids and beta-sitosterol, which has a curative effect in diseases of metabolism and hormonal disorders.

Healing plant Golden mustache, cultivation of which even inexperienced flower growers, has a strong anti-inflammatory effect: its juice effectively heals wounds, burns and other skin injuries. Reception of medicines based on the Golden mustache is indicated for ulcer disease, rheumatism, kidney disease (nephritis), as well as heart and blood vessels. In diseases of the respiratory tract, it contributes to the dilution of sputum and effectively removes the swelling of the mucous membrane. Finally, the infusion, prepared from the leaves of the Golden mustache, is used as a cholagogue.

Golden mustache, care for which is not difficult, under favorable conditions can grow to a height of up to two meters. He has two types of shoots - horizontal and erect. Vertical shoots of Kallisia have well-developed leaves, while horizontal ones practically do not have them. Their role is different: the flower of the Golden Blossom reproduces with leafy rosettes that grow at the ends of these shoots. Blossoms Kallisia fragrant with small white flowers, the smell of which is very pleasant (they owe it to her name). This plant is rather unpretentious and reproduces well: anyone who wants it can grow a Golden Sword in an apartment. Care for him provides regular, but moderate watering and good lighting (but not direct rays of the sun!). With a lack of moisture and excessive sun exposure, the tips of the leaves begin to fade and become black. The flower pot should be large, the substrate from a mixture of turf ground, humus and sand (it should be about a third of the total volume). At the bottom it is necessary to put claydite drainage. High stems of the Golden mustache must be propped, otherwise the flower will be difficult to withstand their weight. In summer the plant feels fine on the balcony. It can be planted on a plot of land, however, so that in the heat it is protected by a shadow of trees.

To reproduce the Golden mustache is better in April-May. The apical part of the "mustache" is cut and rooted in the water, and after the appearance of the roots are transplanted into the ground. You can multiply the plant and not cutting them: to do this, the sockets are pressed to the ground and lightly sprinkled with it from above. After rooting, shoots are cut off from the main stem. Cuttings of Kallisia take root well in the ground, but in this case they should be covered with plastic wrap for three or four days. After removing the film cuttings should be well sprinkled and abundantly watered.

Golden mustaches should be regularly (once a week), especially during the growth period, fed with complex fertilizer. When growing a flower on the plot for fertilizing, also use the overgrazed manure and ash taken in equal parts. Care for him is simple and many people start to grow this plant to treat certain diseases. These phenomena begin, on the average, on the seventh day from the moment of the beginning of reception of juice or a plant infusion.
