Necessary tools and materials

To make a corner wooden shelves you will need:

• Sheets of plywood (6 mm thick);
• Ruler and pencil for marking;
• Cutting tools;
• sandpaper;
• Screws;
• PVA glue.

Stages of assembly

First, measure the angle in the room where the shelf will be located. These measurements are transferred to a sheet of plywood, which will serve as a blank for the shelf. An angle of 90 ° is measured, and then an arc is made from its vertex that is a quarter of a circle, the radius of which, for example, is 250 mm.

On one side of the future shelf, there are grooves in which the racks will be inserted. Then their lateral sides are carefully filed. Turning the workpiece over, the same grooves are cut from the other side. So it will be necessary to make out all the shelves, of which the wood is made of wood. With your own hands, make a template for the rest of the shelves on the same pattern.

To make the second shelf, the ready-made template is applied to the next sheet of plywood and circled with a pencil, and then cut through this marking. The ends of all sides of the shelf are sandpapered.

Shelves should be mounted on vertical racks. This is a kind of frame from which the bookcase consists. With your own hands made of wood it's quite easy to make. As a workpiece for the racks you can use cuttings from the shovel. For a bookcase of three shelves, stands with a length of 0.5-0.6 m are suitable. Markings are made on their front side.

On the racks, note the location of the shelves, and then the surface of both of them is thoroughly grinded, and only then are markings made for the screw holes.

Gradually begins to loom your wood shelf. With your own hands, you can make the front side of the shelves semi-circular shape, having processed the workpiece with a hand mill (diameter - 6 mm). In this case, you should be careful - the workpiece should be well clamped and take a stable position. After that, the surface is again sanded with sandpaper.

To finally adjust the vertical racks to the grooves cut out on the shelves, you need to use a circular saw. For convenience, all the shelves are stacked together and in a few podgons they are combined with the grooves. Modification of the grooves is made by a chisel.

Final assembly

Now the bookcase made of wood, made by hand, prepared for the final assembly. First the racks are driven to the middle shelf. And glue for fastening yet do not use, and manage one screws. The upper and lower shelves are fastened with screws (length - 50 mm). After connecting all the elements, the bookcase is checked for stability and the final fit is made.

Then the screws are unscrewed and the entire structure is dismantled. This is done in order to smudge all grooves with PVA glue. After that, they collect everything again, screw the screw, and here it is - a shelf! It's very simple to make it with your own hands made of wood. Now only the excess of glue remains. After complete drying, remove the chisel, and prepare the shelf to varnish. The best is acrylic lacquer.
