"Tobleron" - chocolate with "zest": a treat from Switzerland

Sometimes for happiness you need a little bit - a small piece of good chocolate! Only here is which one to choose? After all, the range on store shelves can satisfy the most amazing fantasies of sweet tooth. That's where the competition manifests itself in full! For example, why choose the brand "Tobleron"? This chocolate came to us from Switzerland, which has long been famous for the skill of its confectioners. Also the original packaging! So you can develop an advertising campaign. But is it necessary?

How it all began?

Long ago, Jean Tobler opened his own confectionery store in Bern, where he mainly sold products of other manufacturers. It was in 1868. The demand was steady. He pushed Jean Tobler to think about creating his own factory for making chocolate. He planned to organize production together with his sons in 1899. The joint product was named Fabrique de Chocolat Berne, Tobler & Cie. A year later, Jean hands over the main assets to his son Theodore. The work continued. But only in 1908, Theodore and his brother Emil invented a unique recipe for cooking a favorite treat - chocolate.

On the facts

The chocolate "Tobleron" is original in form. The photo on its packaging fully reflects the contents - triangular fractions with milk chocolate, nougat, almonds and honey. The name itself came from a combination of the names of the creators and the Italian name nougat - Torrone. In 1909, the brand was officially registered in Bern. And the chocolate extravaganza of taste began. The development was slow but sure.

So, in 1969 the company began producing black chocolate, and a year later - and white. In 2007, a new taste with nuts and raisins appeared. An unusual form of chocolate has several versions of the appearance. There is a legend that the delicacy repeats the shape of Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps. And there is quite a fantasy assumption that chocolate owes its form to the variety show dancers, who are building into a living pyramid at the end of the show.

Against legends

Beautiful company "Tobleron" denied beautiful legends about the form in honor of the mountains. Chocolate did not originally have on the package references to the mountain. Yes, and the version with the dancers seemed drawn to the ears. There were also mentions that the triangular form made the reference to Freemasonry the brand "Tobleron". Chocolate, according to her, became a symbol of the development of political and economic. All versions were funny, but had nothing to do with reality. The triangular shape was a simple illumination, thanks to which the chocolate became original. The design of the packaging, no doubt, attracts attention. But this is not enough to win the army of admirers. Here you have to work and taste!

Oh, this taste of Switzerland!

Many people, regardless of age, sincerely love the Swiss chocolate "Tobleron". Reviews about it vary from enthusiastic to reservedly approving. In fact, it has a refined and very delicate taste with bright, but harmonious notes of honey and nougat. The division into triangular fractions is very important. After all at the first tasting it would be desirable to absorb at once all chocolate, and it is too good - it is bad! Sophistication at small amounts can result in rigidity in case of excessive enthusiasm. Nougah just sticks together. And teeth are not easy to separate. So you need to savor a little, enjoying every bit.

Mad, crazy world!

Chocolate is a kind of drug that draws slaves into the camp immediately and forever. The sweetheart tends to try new tastes, eat them like ragweed, to expand the range of their tastes. For example, a Swiss politician, who lost the post of prime minister because of this, was famous for his weakness for chocolate. It was 1995 year. Mona Salin made a dizzying shopping for taxpayers' money. The sum has passed for 50 thousand crones, and in the general grocery basket two chocolates "Tobleron" have been found. The policy had to be abandoned for three years. Therefore, the taste deserved!

Manufacturers adopted the "Tobleron case" for the original compliment and only increased the pace of work. For a long time they were preparing for the centennial and celebrating it for a whole autumn. To participate in the chocolate festival in Bern they produced the world's largest tile "Tobleron". Chocolate of this size can not master even a hundred sweet tooths, because it was a whole centner! Tiles could easily get into the world records book, but the authors do not need it! They modestly replied that the main goal for them is the joy of chocolate lovers. Moreover, the company already has a world record on its account.

In co-authorship with the residents of Geneva, Basel, Bern and Zurich for four days they designed the tower. Sweet cardboard triangle could be compared to a work of art. It is not surprising that the work process was described even in a book timed to coincide with the centennial jubilee. Giant models appeared at the airport in Zurich. With their help, the chocolate "Tobleron" showed its history. Reviews of avid fans were approving, because it's nice to watch such a tasty installation. By the way, the enthusiasm of the spectators was also supported by the broadcast of incendiary commercials and the drawing of a voucher to the Swiss Alps. As a result of the celebration of the anniversary, the level of sales of chocolate rose to the highest level for the whole previous month.

What do people say?

First of all, the price is alarming, buyers assure. Even at pre-crisis prices, the Swiss chocolate "Tobleron", bitter and milky, stayed at the top positions. A standard tile of 100 grams could be purchased on average for 160 rubles. Now prices have risen almost twice. But desperate lovers of sweet do not stop it.

Chocolate has a honey-nut flavor with caramel and almond notes. In its pure form, chocolate is not recommended, as it clings to the teeth, which, by the way, speaks about the quality of nougat. Girls note an important feature: the tile easily fits in any bag and has a very practical packaging. This eliminates the risk of spillage of the chocolate. The shelf life of the tiles is just over a year, but it does not exactly look like that! Milk chocolate is more popular in Russia.
