This is surprising, but there are countries in which there is virtually no corruption

Corruption is one of the biggest threats in the world. Unfortunately, this threat exists practically in any country, which stops its development, undermines the laws and leads to inefficient leadership. Nevertheless, in some countries the level of corruption is very low. Here is the list of the 10 least corrupt countries in the world, according to their Corruption Perception Index (CPI). The CPI score ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 indicating a highly corrupt country, and 100 indicating no corruption. Well, let's find out which people are more fortunate than the others with the government and its attitude to bribery.

10. Canada, CPI 81


The parliamentary system of Canada has three main branches of power: the monarch, the Senate and the House of Commons. Currently, the monarch in Canada is the English Queen Elizabeth II. One of the least corrupt countries in Canada is its open and democratic parliamentary system. In addition, the country is also known for its high quality of life, education system and transparency in government decision-making.

The Netherlands is a constitutional monarchy with a unitary parliamentary system. The current head of state - King Willem-Alexander - is responsible for appointing mayors and members of the government. The head of this government is the Prime Minister. To ensure that the level of corruption in the country is as low as possible, the Dutch government adheres to a transparent judicial system and conducts effective programs to combat bribery.

Singapore is the fifth least corrupt country in the world. It has a unified system with the Westminster Parliament. In the country there is a special agency called CPIB (Bureau of Investigation of Corruption), which examines all cases of corruption and takes measures to combat it. This helps the government maintain the purity of the system within the public sector.

Norway is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system. The head of state is the monarch, and the government works under the leadership of the prime minister. The judicial system of Norway does not depend on the executive and legislative branches of government. The country also has strict and effective anti-corruption legislation. This helps maintain high standards in the public sector in Norway.

In addition to the low level of corruption, Denmark also has a high standard of living, social mobility, literacy and equality.
