Life of the author

The future popular American writer was born in Nebraska, in the small town of North Platte. Back in 2001, she did not imagine what would become a popular readable author of science fiction novels. This year, Becca Fitzpatrick received a degree in health from the University of Brigham Young. She worked in Provo as secretary, accountant and teacher in ordinary secondary school, until she graduated from the writing course and wrote her first book. Today the writer and her family live in Colorado.

Becca Fitzpatrick says that her favorite pursuits are running, visiting various shoe stores and reviewing their assortment. She likes to watch crime dramas, she also adores ice cream and tries to try a new taste every time.

Love for literature from the young author was opened as a child when, hiding from her parents, she read with a flashlight under the blanket books about the adventures of the unforgettable Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden.

First book

Open her writing talent helped her beloved husband, who in 2003, wrote Beck to writing classes. He presented this surprise to his half on his birthday. Becca Fitzpatrick successfully graduated from them and wrote her first novel "Hush, Hush", which in Russian translation was called "What the Angels Are Not About".

It was this book that made Beck famous. The first novel quickly won the interest and love of readers and even became a bestseller, according to the editors of the New York Times. Rights to the film adaptation of this book were purchased by LD Entertainment. Work on the film was planned to begin in 2013, the adaptation of the book in the film was to be made by Patrick Sean Smith, who created the series "University" (Greek). To date, the film, unfortunately, has not yet appeared on the screens, and his further fate is unknown. It is possible that "What the angels are silent about" will remain unscreened on the big screen.

Other books

The novel "About what the angels are silent" has its own continuation. Following the first book, three more novels were published. They have the names "Crescendo", "Oblivion", "Final". The full cycle was called "Silence". The novel "Dungeons of the Castle Lange", written by Fitzpatrick, was also published. Becca, whose books have gained recognition and popularity among contemporary readers, has produced a completely new story called "Black Ice."

"Black ice"

Written in the genre of psychological thriller, the novel is very fascinating and breathtaking from the first pages. Even the name "Black Ice" is intriguing. Becca Fitzpatrick told the story of Britt Pfeiffer, which takes place in the mountains of Wyoming. A seventeen-year-old girl trains in order to climb the peak of Mount Titon Range. During a blizzard the girl is forced to accept the help of two hospitable owners of a small house. But their hospitality turns out to be a fraud, and Britt becomes a hostage. The girl should help them to descend from the mountain unharmed. At the same time, she learns of a whole series of murders that have occurred in these mountains, and Britt may be the next victim of a mysterious killer. In addition to detective story in the style of a thriller, the love line between Britt and her former friend Kelvin, who came after her to the mountains, also develops.
