"The Tale of the Bears" - content in prose

Today we will consider Pushkin's fairy tale "About the Bears". The content of this work is given below. Annenkov published this work in the middle of 1855 on the pages of the book "Materials for Biography."

A meeting

"The Tale of the Bears" begins its narration in one of the warm spring days. It was at this time, at the dawn, a brown bear walks out of the dense forest , taking with itself own lovely children to look around the district and show themselves. My mother sat under a white birch. Tedders began to play each other, lying in the grass, fighting and tumbling. Suddenly they saw a peasant walking through the forest.

"The Tale of the Bears" continues with the description of this man. In the hands of his spear, and a knife behind his belt. There's a bag on his shoulders. Bears see a peasant with a spear, a roar. He calls his small children - stupid bear cubs. He tells them that they stop playing, lying around, fighting and somersaulting, because the man is approaching them. The mother encourages the children to hide behind her from danger and screams that she will never give them away and she will not give herself.

Death

Further, "The Tale of the Bears" tells how the kids were frightened and began to rush for their nurse. Bears were angry and rose to his feet. The man was smart and started on it. Attacked her with a spear. The Bears fell on the damp earth. The peasant ripped open her belly and took off the skin. He placed small bears in a sack. I went home.

Conclusion

"The Tale of the Bears" continues with the meeting of the peasant with his wife. He promises her a bear fur coat for fifty rubles and shows the three bear cubs by 5. The news of the incident quickly spread through the forest. I learned about this bear black-brown. His friend was killed by a peasant and skinned, and took the children in a sack. Then the bear was sad. I hung my head. He howled about his favorite black-bearded bear. In agony, he recalls his beloved, calls himself a widower, and her boyars. She left him, and now they do not play together and do not give birth to future children, do not rock them, do not cackle.

To the bear, to the big boyar, at this time the animals come in different, both large and small. Even a wolf-nobleman with sharp teeth came running. And his eyes are envious. The beaver arrived at a shopping mall. He has a fat tail. A swallow-noblewoman, a squirrel-princess, a fox-podiachikha treasurer came. Even skomorokh-ermine was running around. Hegumen also came and went. The hare-smerd also came running gray and white. Was a guest and a hedgehog. He bristled.

This ends the "Tale of a bear". Alexander Pushkin did not manage to complete this work. The fairy tale was created by the author in the autumn of 1830 in Boldin. This work is recognized as the best example of a truly Russian folk style. It is possible that the plot of the tale fully belongs to Alexander Pushkin. People's source of the work was not found. According to the form of verse and style, a fairy tale can be attributed to lamentation or a folk song. Here there is a severe-dramatic description of the death of the bear, as well as the fate of her children. Also it is necessary to pay special attention to the poetic genuinely folk style of the weeping of the bear about the deceased beloved.
