"The Tale of the Bears" continues with the description of this man. In the hands of his spear, and a knife behind his belt. There's a bag on his shoulders. Bears see a peasant with a spear, a roar. He calls his small children - stupid bear cubs. He tells them that they stop playing, lying around, fighting and somersaulting, because the man is approaching them. The mother encourages the children to hide behind her from danger and screams that she will never give them away and she will not give herself.

This ends the "Tale of a bear". Alexander Pushkin did not manage to complete this work. The fairy tale was created by the author in the autumn of 1830 in Boldin. This work is recognized as the best example of a truly Russian folk style. It is possible that the plot of the tale fully belongs to Alexander Pushkin. People's source of the work was not found. According to the form of verse and style, a fairy tale can be attributed to lamentation or a folk song. Here there is a severe-dramatic description of the death of the bear, as well as the fate of her children. Also it is necessary to pay special attention to the poetic genuinely folk style of the weeping of the bear about the deceased beloved.
