The T-72 tank is a model. Collection collection "DeAgostini": assembly of a remote controlled tank

Collecting large-scale models-copies of modern weapons and military equipment is a hobby that thousands of citizens of our country and the whole world devote with free time to with their great pleasure.

In recent years, there has been a tendency for bench models to increasingly choose full-fledged models that can move. In this line, the leading positions are rightly occupied by products on radio control.

The novelty of the Russian market

The DeAgostini group in Russia implemented a project that caused quite a predictable interest among armored vehicles lovers. Now they have the opportunity to become the owner of such a product, as a radio-controlled model of the T-72 tank. In its development the employee of KB UVZ, who produces the real tanks of the mentioned model, took part.

And the approach of the publisher to the solution of the issue is unique in its own way. Anyone who wants to get a high-quality copy at a scale of 1:16, does not acquire a whole set of parts at a time, of which the T-72 tank alone assembles (the model is capable of moving in any direction, obeying the commands of the control panel), as it was practiced earlier.

The parts necessary for assembly, instructions on the creation of a particular node go on sale weekly with the magazine. In addition to materials directly related to technology and installation, the magazine Tank T-72 (model 1:16) contains materials on the history of the development of armored vehicles in the USSR and Russia.

Where and when can I buy a magazine?

Magazines are sold in kiosks Soyuzpechat and AiF in almost every village in Russia.

The first issue was released on May 9, 2015, and was timed for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In addition to the first set of parts for assembly, a DVD-ROM is attached to the magazine. It is planned that the full set of parts for the controlled model of the T-72 tank to be assembled in full, will be available in 65 issues of the magazine.

The recommended cost of the first issue is 99 rubles. The last two will cost the buyer as early as 799 rubles. This is due to the fact that together with the numbers, the components for assembling the radio control are received.

The publishers took into account the possibility that some of the modelers may find themselves in a situation where the magazine number containing the details of which the radio-controlled model of the T-72 tank is assembled will not be acquired. In this case, it can be ordered directly from the manufacturer (detailed information is available in the magazine and on the official website of the company).

What does the modeler get?

Each purchase will contain a magazine and a set of parts. After the installation and debugging are completed, you will receive a T-72 tank, the model of which has the following dimensions: 420,0 * 214,5 * 142,5 (mm) and weighs 3,700.

All parts, from which the assembly is made, are made of metal alloy. The tower is metal-plastic. It is important that the caterpillar tracks are made of metal, which allows the model to move almost any ground. Supporting cars, driving wheel and sloth are metal. All plugs are made of plastic.

The combined model of the T-72 tank is completed with a figure of an armed tankman, made on a similar scale. An essential advantage of the model, ensuring smoothness of its stroke and sufficiently high throughput, is a working independent suspension of support tracks.

The kit will not include a remote control and a headset that allows you to control the model using a tablet or phone (camera and Wi-Fi).

What can this model do?

The T-72 tank, the model of which can be obtained as a result of the complete completion of assembly work, is capable of:

  • To conduct a "real" battle with the use of infrared sensors;
  • Move forward and backward;
  • Turn in both directions;
  • Unfold on the spot;
  • Raise and lower the gun barrel;
  • To throw out "exhaust gases" from the working engine;
  • Hatches (both tower and driver-mechanics) open.

The combined model of the T-72 "DeAgostini" tank allows control using a special remote control unit, included in the model kit, from a computer or smartphone.

Why choose a T-72?

This tank is rightly considered a cult machine, which marked a new stage in the development of domestic production of heavy equipment. The T-72 Ural is the second generation OBT. The armament of the USSR Armed Forces was adopted in 1973 and was produced serially up to 1992 at two Ural tank factories (in Nizhny Tagil and Chelyabinsk).

During this time, about 30 thousand tanks were produced.

Licensed production of the tank was established in four states: Czechoslovakia, Poland, Iraq and India. Versions produced outside the USSR had a modification of the T-72M.

The combined model of the T-72 was made in its original modification, corresponding to the 1973 model. During the serial production of the tank was made in 19 modifications. The possibility of arming it with four different models of tank guns from 120 to 130 mm was considered. All issues related to the completion and modernization of the tank in the process of its operation are discussed in detail in the journals Tank T-72, a model of which can be assembled if desired by any modeler who bought all the numbers.

In addition, in each issue there is an article devoted to the development of tank building in the USSR, which deals with the creation of the most significant models (T-26, BT, T-34, KV, IS, etc.)

T-72 in the service in the Armed Forces of Russia

The Russian army currently has a modification of the T-72B3 tank, the release of which began in 2011, and the first production cars entered the army in 2012. The Russian Defense Ministry decided to roll up the production of the T-90 Vladimir tank and to refrain from upgrading the existing T-80 tanks in favor of improving the existing T-72 to the T-72B3 level. This made it possible to obtain tanks of comparable quality at lower costs. Moreover, the decision was made taking into account already ongoing at that time design work on the creation of the T-14 "Armata".

To participate in the international tank biathlon, the car was upgraded to the T-72BM3 type. This version received a high-powered engine (1,130 hp), a panoramic thermal imager at the commander's office, APP, and the OVM with voice information on the occurrence of malfunctions.

T-72 tank today: world importance

This tank is on the armament of many states of the world. These are the former Warsaw Pact countries, Iraq, India, Angola, Algeria, Iran and a number of other states.

The car has been repeatedly tested by real combat actions and deserved a high estimation in the world. This is due to its ability to effectively resist the newest models of weapons and military equipment manufactured in NATO states (the United States, Germany and France).

Currently, T-72 tanks are actively used in Syria and take part in pains in various hot spots around the world.
