The plot of the movie

The series "The Fifth Watch", whose actors mostly do not belong to the category of stars of television and cinema, begins with a prologue.

Several centuries ago, the faithful servant of the Prince of Darkness - the vampire Felix - on the advice of Dracula is sent to Siberia to treat depression with the blood of northern girls. There he falls in love with Boyar's daughter Bozhen and is in prison for her abduction. A girl bitten by a vampire reciprocates, but renounces immortality in exchange for serving the Powers of Darkness and dies. The reckless Felix returns to Dracula, but he drives him to the city of Svetloyarsk, as he believes the prediction that the vampire will someday crush his power. The appearance of the undead brings many ills, and the Forces of Light immolate Felix in the cave.

Five centuries pass, and two poor fellows, who are about to rob a rich crypt in a cemetery, inadvertently release him to freedom.

It turns out that now Svetloyarsk is called Svetlogorsk, but the evil in it was no less. Felix decides to choose the path of Good and opens a detective agency that is called upon to help mortals. At work, he accepts the same repentant sinners, ready to stand on the protection of the Light. Together, the detectives investigate the atrocities committed daily by the forces of Darkness, and guard the peace of Svetlogorsk.

Vampire character

The actor became known in the late 90's due to the performance of one of the main roles in the serial version of the novel by A. Dumas "Countess de Monsoro." And although the actors of the series "The Fifth Watch" are mostly young people, among them there are real veterans of Soviet cinema. First of all, we are talking about Regimantas Adomaitis, who appeared before the viewer in the image of Dracula. This Baltic artist in his time was extremely in demand with Soviet filmmakers, and his Nordic appearance and aristocracy are the best suited for reincarnation in the Prince of Darkness.

Unexpected may seem the choice of the executor of the Emissary role of the Light Forces. He was played by Stanislav Lyubshin, who became a star at a fairly young age, after working in the Soviet multi-series feature film "The Shield and the Sword."

Critics took the show rather ambiguously. Many did not like the obvious similarity with other sagas about vampires. The series "The Fifth Guard", whose actors you already know, even compared with the movie "Twilight" and complained that the hero of Kozakov is much older and not as attractive as Edward Cullen in the guise of Robert Pattison.
