In Italian cuisine, there is a similar recipe for rice with pumpkin. There it is called "Risotto". For him, the products will need significantly less: for 170 grams of rice - 250 grams of pumpkin, onion, 50 grams of cream and 35 grams of vegetable oil, a little pepper and salt. If desired, you can add a little parmesan and vegetable broth.

The preparation will proceed as follows:

  1. In a separate container, boil half a liter of water.
  2. At this time, cut the diced onion into oil.
  3. Add to it the pumpkin and rice crushed in the same way. Mix everything and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add water to the mixture by pouring 1/3 of the prepared boiling water into the pan.
  5. Cover and do less fire. As the boiling-off water should be added.

This recipe is different from the others in that the process does not need to be controlled in time. A ready dish is considered when the pumpkin is soft enough, and the rice will boil a little. After this, add butter and do not forget to sprinkle with parmesan before serving.

The way of preparation is surprisingly simple:

To cook such an unusual dish is simple, but interesting:

Many people from childhood know delicious fragrant porridge, which in fact is nothing like a pumpkin with rice and milk. An unusual combination of products gives an amazing result.

For work, you need: equally (250 grams) of rice and pumpkin, a teaspoon of salt, half a liter of milk and 35-40 grams of sugar.

Everything is prepared in one tank:

  1. Rinse the rice in a saucepan, pour boiling water (1 full glass), boil, and then cook on a very low heat, until all the water is absorbed.
  2. After that, add to it grated pumpkin and other ingredients.
  3. Stirred the mixture and cook for 15-17 minutes. It should look like a viscous porridge. Do not forget that during cooking, the dish should be stirred occasionally.
  4. Turn off the fire and allow it to stand still for the same amount of time under the lid.

After that, you can safely take a sample and be sure that the dish will be liked not only by children, but also by adults. For flavor, it is superfluous to add a piece of butter.

For the most inexperienced

Sometimes some men, wanting to help their wives at home, ask how to make a pumpkin with rice, without having any special skills. The answer for them will be a recipe, which even a teenager will cope with.

For this variant, as initial ingredients it is necessary to have: 300 grams of pumpkin pulp, half a glass of fresh milk, salt, a teaspoon of butter, sugar and cinnamon.

Make such a mess should be neat:

  1. First you need to boil the milk. The main thing here is not to miss the moment and not let him escape.
  2. Then cut the pumpkin with small cubes and transfer to boiling liquid. Cook with constant stirring should be until these pieces begin to fall apart. Now the pan can already be removed from the plate.
  3. After that, you need to add sugar, salt, cinnamon and mix everything again. To taste somehow leveled, it is better to give the dish a little to stand under the lid.

Oil should be added only before serving or separately in each plate.
