In addition to an interesting plot, sound effects and wonderful musical accompaniment, from other projects of a similar nature, they distinguished the film "The Face of the Future" with actors. After all, thanks to the efforts of Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and others, this fantastic thriller received such high marks from film critics and spectators.

Initially, Billy Cage was supposed to play Brad Pitt, but because of employment in other projects, he refused, and the role went to the chief scientist of Hollywood - Tom Cruise. And his military friend played in the film "The Face of the Future" by Emily Blunt.

Plot

In the near future, the Earth is attacked by a race of alien creatures, called "mimics" by earthlings. Most of the weapons people are powerless in front of them. And although all the countries have united before the common danger - this does not help to defeat the enemy.

Suddenly, there was hope for humanity. The use of exoskeletons in one of the battles made it possible for people to win a small victory thanks to the courage of sergeant Rita Vrataski. Encouraged by this achievement, the earthlings are preparing for a new offensive and are conducting a large-scale PR campaign with Rita.

William Cage was a spokesman for the US Army, but when he was sent to fight along with other soldiers, he tried to refuse, for which he was demoted to the rank and file. Once at the front, during the battle he was killed by an unusual facial expression, which accidentally doused him with his own blood before his death. After a few moments, Cage regains consciousness at the time of arrival at the military base. Soon he discovers that, having perished, he returns to life again and again at the same moment of the past.

Accidental acquaintance with Rita helps William learn the truth about what is happening. It turns out that the killed alien had the ability to restart the time, because of which mimicry managed to defeat the Earthlings. After bathing in the blood of an extraterrestrial, Cage also received this gift, as did Vrataski once.

Teaming up with Dr. Carter, a specialist in microbiology, Rita and William try to find and destroy Omega, the main specimen of facial expressions that manages all of them. Having survived a lot of adventures, the heroes manage to do this, but they all perish.

Before his death, Cage is immersed in the blood of the Omega he killed, which causes him to recover long before the offensive begins. The hero with surprise learns that facial expressions are defeated, and is getting acquainted with Rita again.

Billy Cage in the performance of Cruz has a rather uneasy character. At first, a typical staff worker appears to appear before the audience, accustomed to making empty fiery speeches about patriotism and hiding behind strangers' backs.

However, the hero gradually changes. One of the main driving forces in this evolution of Cage is the love of Rita. Thanks to her, William becomes not just a good soldier, but also a real hero. In fact, the film "The Face of the Future" is about the spiritual rebirth of Billy Cage.

Tom Cruise received the highest royalty among the actors of the project - $ 38 million, although for him this is not a lot of money, because in the past, for participation in the militants, he was paid 70-80 million.

Emily Blunt - Rita Vrataski
