Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich: biography

Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich is a Russian politician, a member of the United Russia faction. Known for the fact that for 19 years he held the post of mayor of Rostov-on-Don. To date, he is one of the record holders for the length of stay in one state post.

Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolevich: biography of early years

Mikhail Anatolyevich was born on March 6, 1948 in Rostov-on-Don. Parents have taught their son to science and discipline from an early age. Thanks to this, he managed to graduate from school with a silver medal, only a little bit short of gold. After receiving secondary education, in 1967 he entered the Rostov Institute of Agricultural Engineering.

During his studies at the university he acquired the skills of an engineer. He liked this profession very much. In an interview, Mikhail Chernyshev admitted that the design of new mechanisms is one of the greatest pleasures in his life. In the period from 1972 to 1980 he worked as a design engineer at the Rostov Research Institute.

First steps in politics

Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich - a very responsible person. Therefore, it is not surprising that party workers noticed him in time. In 1980, the young engineer was offered to head the October RK CPSU Rostov-on-Don. Chernyshev readily agreed to this post, which later changed his whole life.

In 1985, he was promoted to deputy chairman of the executive committee of the Proletarian District Council of People's Deputies. Here he initially headed the organizational and instructional department, and then headed the administration of the Proletarian district. By the way, at the head of the head Mikhail Chernyshev proved himself as a true leader, able to competently manage not only his subordinates, but also a whole district.

Mayor of Rostov-on-Don

After the change of power in 1991, Chernyshev managed to keep the reins of government in his hands. He still remained the head of the Rostov administration. His policy was popular with the people, which was very important in those years. In addition, the appreciation of the citizens helped him win the race for the mayor's seat in 1994. Looking ahead, we note that the next election will be no less successful: Mikhail Anatolyevich held the post of the mayor of Rostov-on-Don until 2014, which was one of his greatest achievements.

During the 19 years of his reign, Chernyshev showed himself from various angles. Initially, his policy found a lot of positive feedback: the city grew, and the economy rose from its knees after the fall of the Soviet Union. Everyone was pleased with the head of Rostov, and thanks to this he remained at the helm for such a long time.

However, over the years the glory of the mayor began to slowly fade away. The reason for this was the inability of Mikhail Chernyshev to adjust to the ongoing life changes. In addition, many were disappointed that the mayor began to live, standing out against the general background. In particular, the fact that he built himself a huge mansion, although he is a civil servant.

Political portrait

Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich managed his city quite skillfully. Under his leadership Rostov-on-Don rose from the economic hole and acquired the present face. In addition, the mayor was the initiator of many bills aimed at improving the home streets. I mean for most of the townspeople he became a real stronghold and an example.

As for his political struggle, the mayor of Rostov-on-Don was able to put his opponents in his place. He did this solely with the help of words, never passing the line of what is permitted. In general, it can be described as a good politician, who can, if necessary, fight back.

The only unpleasant incident occurred with Mikhail Anatolyevich in October 2011. Then he was charged with the fact that he illegally acquired 5.6 hectares of land. However, a more thorough investigation led to the fact that the head of Rostov was acquitted, because his actions lacked the composition of the crime.

New post

In 2014 Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich was in a situation that threatened him with a complete fiasco. The reason for this was the removal from office due to a bad rating. However, the official version says that the politician himself resigned. In all likelihood, he did it because he had no other choice.

In addition, he did not have to stay long without business. In 2014, the City Council approved a new post - "city manager". Soon, Chernyshev Mikhail Anatolyevich was appointed to it. Reception policy again began to work actively, without even changing buildings.

In October 2014, Chernyshev became deputy governor of the Rostov region. And in September 2016 he takes part in the parliamentary elections and passes to the State Duma from the party "United Russia". Thus, a new stage in the life of politics begins. Now, instead of solving problems of a city scale, he will need to prepare for serious battles taking place at the highest state level.
