The drug "Koversil" - an analogue of "Prestarium"

Among the ACE inhibitors used in the treatment of hypertension and heart failure, the most famous is the French drug "Preterium". This medicine has a vasodilating action. The second name is Perindopril. In the pharmacy, you can buy an analogue of "Pre-Stearium" - a drug "Koversil". There are other drugs similar to him - "Aceon", "Atsertil", "Koversum", "Preksum".

Thanks to the reception of any of these medicines, the elasticity of large arteries is restored in patients, the excess of subendothelial collagen decreases, pre- and post-loading on the heart decreases, myocardial hypertrophy decreases .

The active substance, which contains both the analogue of Prestarium, and the medicine itself, perindopril, favorably affects the heart, facilitating its work, reducing the filling pressure of the ventricles, making the frequency of its contractions less often.

The drug "Prestarium" (tablets) is quickly absorbed, and its maximum effect is already visible in four to six hours, the same pharmacological action persists throughout the day. Perindopril is excreted through the kidneys.

Pressure with regular intake of the drug stabilizes within a month. Stopping taking the drug "Prestarium", the patient does not feel the withdrawal syndrome, the ACE inhibitor action does not stop dramatically. In more susceptible patients, stabilization of blood pressure occurs faster.

If this medication or analogue of "Pre-Stearium" (preparations "Aceon", "Atsertil", "Koversum", "Preksum" or "Koversil") is used in the treatment of heart failure, it is very important that the blood pressure when it is taken (in a doctor's appointment) Dose) does not change dramatically either after the first tablets, or after a longer use of the drug.

Contraindications to the use of both the pharmaceutical preparation of "Preterium" and its analogues are:

  • Age up to 15 years;
  • pregnancy;
  • lactation;
  • Hypersensitivity to the active substance of the drug.

If this angiotensin-converting factor inhibitor is prescribed to a patient with renal insufficiency, the doctor will prescribe a reduced dose and periodically monitor the potassium content.

Any analogue of "Prestarium", like the drug itself, has side effects. It:

  • Labile mood;
  • sleep disturbance:
  • headache;
  • Thrombocytopenia;
  • nausea;
  • asthenia;
  • dyspepsia;
  • dizziness;
  • allergic reaction;
  • cough;
  • Hypogemoglobinemia;
  • Vomiting;
  • Decreased potency;
  • Reduction of the number of erythrocytes;
  • Convulsions;
  • A violation of taste sensations;
  • Dry mouth.

Hypotension is a symptom of an overdose of Perindopril. In this case, the stomach is washed, intravenous saline is injected, and hemodialysis is performed in a severe case, since the active substance of the preparation is amenable to dialysis.

The usual dosage of the drug is 1 tablet a day, which is taken in the morning inside before meals. It should be borne in mind that taking medication together with food inhibits the action of perindopril.

The initial dose for heart failure is 2 mg, and the maintenance dose is 4 mg. With hypertension, the dosage is slightly higher - 4 mg, if the treatment is slow and no effect is seen, then after a month of therapy it is increased to 8 mg.

If a patient has a fourth stage of heart failure, low blood pressure, renal failure, or if it is an elderly person, it is recommended to start therapy with 2 mg.

The preparation is made in tablet form for 4, 5, 8 and 10 mg. The tablets are covered with a film and packaged in blisters of 14 or 30 pieces each.

The medicine "Prestarium" refers to the list B. Leave from pharmacies according to the prescription.

Store it should be no more than two years and at an air temperature of no higher than 30 ° C.
