The instruction to this inexpensive solution recommends it for washing any piercing and tissue disinfection. Due to the general availability of this drug, as well as its low cost in points of sale, it is actively used not only in cases of puncture site processing. The drug "Chlorhexidine." Composition and form of release

The containers in which the product is sold can be very different. But the contents of small bottles do not differ much in their form of release. As a rule, this preparation is sold in the form of a solution based on ordinary water with an active substance concentration of 0.2%, 0.02% or 0.5% of the total volume of the liquid. The drug "Chlorhexidine", the instruction to which is directly on the package itself, is usually used in this form for external application and treatment of individual parts of the body. But this antiseptic happens to be alcoholic. Such solutions are usually used by medical personnel to disinfect surgical instruments, as well as disinfect hands.

There are also special plasters for greater convenience when using the drug. Even in pharmacies you can find the gel "Chlorhexidine" (instruction to it is similar to the solution) of external application and cream, which affects the skin more gently due to carefully thought-out composition. The agent promotes early healing and prevents the formation of suppuration.

To decontaminate a wound with a large surface with a mortar, it will be sufficient to moisten the bandage patch of the bactericidal plaster with the product . It is carefully placed on the abrasion and changed as it dries up (or gets wet if there is blood or pus, if the infection has already penetrated the tissue). Do not water the wound itself, as this can cause not only considerable discomfort, but also damage to the covers in the form of microscopic burns. If the patient has had an unprotected sexual intercourse with a partner infected with a venereal disease, even in this case the drug "Chlorhexidine" will help him. The instruction to the solution says that if the situation has not yet passed after 2 hours, the drug will help prevent such serious infections as syphilis, trichomoniasis, chlamydosis, gonorrhea, herpes and others. To do this, it will be sufficient to treat the sexual solution with the aqueous solution (including the vagina in women and the urethra in men) and the inner thighs several times a day 2 hours before urination.
