The best film of all time. The choice is yours

It's possible to talk about cinema for a very long time, but to argue, which movie is better, and what is worse, and even more so. Although what's the point? After all, movies, like people, are completely different, that's why not everybody likes them. For someone, "The Human Centipede" is the best film of all time and people, and for some people "The Silence of the Lambs" is a complete "sucker". That's why the expression appeared that there is no dispute about tastes. But, nevertheless, various magazines, newspapers, Internet publications and British scientists are very fond of making all sorts of ratings.

For example, the British Institute of Cinematography in 2012 presented a list of fifty best films. This list is updated every ten years, and according to him, the best film of all time and people, ranking first, is the thriller "Dizziness", released already in 1958 by Alfred Hitchcock. It should be noted that not at the last places on this list are films of domestic production. So, in the TOP-50 of the best films, according to the British, are: 11th place - "Battleship Potemkin" directed by Sergei Eisenstein; 19th place - "Mirror"; The 26th is Andrei Rublev; The 29th is Stalker. The last three films were directed by Andrei Tarkovsky.

By the way, Tarkovsky's films (The Sacrifice and Andrei Rublev) were included in the list of forty-five greatest films, marked by the Vatican. But Quentin Tarantino made his list of films dedicated to World War II. And the best film of all time and people, according to this list, is Elem Klimov's tape "Go and See." Tarantino gave him the first place among fifty other film masterpieces.

But that's what Time magazine recommends for viewing. He did not mean only one The best film of all time and people, he collected as many as one hundred films that are worthy of such a title, and called upon all those who aspire to self-education and self-improvement to find time to watch each of them. We will not mention all of the hundred, but we will highlight a few:

1) "Bonnie and Clyde" in 1967, directed by Arthur Penn;

2) "Blade Runner", 1982, directed by Ridley Scott;

3) "Casablanca" in 1942, directed by Michael Curtis;

4) "Citizen Kane" in 1941, directed by Orson Wells ;

5) The Godfather, 1972 and 1974 (2 parts), directed by Francis Ford Coppola;

6) "The Lord of the Rings", 2001-2003, directed by Peter Jackson;

7) "Pulp Fiction" in 1994, directed by Quentin Tarantino;

8) Schindler's List of 1993, directed by Steven Spielberg;

9) "Yohimbo" in 1961, directed by Akira Kurosawa;

10) "Talk to her" in 2002, directed by Pedro Almodovar.

This is only a tenth of the list of Time magazine, but each of these titles is the best A film of all time and people. Different genres, different years of production, different directors and plots - all this is unlikely to allow a choice in favor of just one film. Each of them is a masterpiece recognized all over the world not only by critics but also by spectators.

But if we are talking about film ratings, then finally I would like to mention about the series. According to polls on a variety of Internet resources, the best TV shows of all time are Friends, Detective Agency Moonlight, Doctor House, Sex and the City, Helen and the Guys, Twin Peaks "," Desperate Housewives "," Wild Angel "," The Sopranos "," Staying Alive "and the animated series" The Simpsons ".
