One of the most favorite kinds of needlework of all children from an early age is molding. And if for the kid this kind of art is nothing more than a method of obtaining pleasure, then from the point of view of pedagogy modeling is a way of developing children's motor skills that affects the development of speech and writing in a child. In addition, classes of modeling will calm the impatience, accustom him to accuracy, perseverance and, of course, help to create a sense of purpose, desire to bring the business to the end.

In the modern world, a huge amount of material is used for this kind of creativity. These are different types of plasticine, special mass, wax, clay, gypsum and salted dough for modeling.

Testoplasty - the so-called art form, which uses salted dough for crafts - is rooted in the deep past. Perhaps, a man learned to make toys from dough, as soon as he learned to extract flour from grain. At least the mention of products from the dough is found in the description of various religious rites of antiquity and in the description of sacrifices. And the spread of this type of art has received on all continents, except that with the exception of Antarctica.

Salty dough for modeling is prepared by a very simple recipe: 2 cups of flour are added 1 cup of fine salt and all this is diluted ½ cup of cold water. For rough figures, the proportions change: 2 cups of flour are added 4 cups of salt. To the usual ingredients, you can add a spoonful of normal hand cream, which will make it even more plastic. But there is no such dough anymore.

The dough is kneaded as dumplings. The finished material should retain the shape of the ball. Before starting work, it is desirable to remove it for a short time in the refrigerator, before packing it in a plastic bag for protection against airing. In the salt dough for modeling, you can add any dyes: gouache, acrylic, watercolor, food colors. Then the products from it will become even more interesting, brighter and more original. The dye can not only be added to the dough, but also simply applied to the finished product, previously covered with a primer.

Before you start, so that you do not get distracted, prepare everything that you need. This is an oilcloth, a piece of cardboard covered with foil, glasses with cold water and vegetable oil, a baking dish, tassels, beads, relief buttons, caps from pens or markers, a small kitchen knife - everything, with which you can give your product a shape and originality , To form its appearance.

Salted dough for modeling is a grateful material. It is soft, plastic, environmentally safe and very convenient in all respects. Finished products can be dried in the sun or baked in the oven at 80 degrees, and you can combine all these types, especially if the product is made from a thick layer of dough.

The finished product can be varnished, which not only gives the product a complete look, but also keeps it from destruction.

What could be easier than not modeling of salted dough? Photos of finished products are surprising. This can be flat products, made in the form of panels, and there may be three-dimensional figures. Do it! It all depends on your imagination and desire.
